Wonderful house, clutter free, very clean and well furnished and stocked. We rafted (with company accross the street), hiked in the area, and attended a family reunion in Hood River 15 minutes away. The Harvest Market grocery store in White Salmon had absolutely everything we needed. The only issue with the property is that the bees prevented us from eating on the deck, although we loved listening to the river rapids while we slept. Matt, our host was avaliable and responsive.

Everything about this house is amazing. From the stocked kitchen, patio chairs and table, outdoor chairs to take to the river’s edge, extra pillows and blankets, and everything in between. Beautiful and private property along the river. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Thank you so much for thinking of the smallest details (foil and plastic wrap amazing). If we are ever in the area we would definitely stay here again.

We would definitely stay here again, and we had a great time. The house was clean, well kept, fully stocked with everything we needed. The beds are cozy and comfy, and everything was in working order. Even the Murphy bed was comfortable, and the kids loved it.I love the river access, I just didn’t have time to go fishing, but it was tempting.

Immaculate home nestled in off the grid Husum community. Located right on the White Salmon river rapids. Was fun to walk through the property and watch the kayaks travel down the river. Only 10 minutes to Hood River bridge. I cannot say enough about how lovely this property is.

This house exceeded expectations and there have been upgrades since some of the pics were taken (as mentioned in another review). We loved the location on the river, and the fact that the area by the water had been mowed/weeded. AC in the house was fantastic and extras like coffee beans & a grinder show that this is a thoughtful owner. We’ll be back!

Warm, welcoming and peaceful did not want to leave. Well stocked. My husband. my son and his family, including 4 young children loved our stay. I especially miss the sound of the River at night. Slept with windows open for the fresh cool air and calming sounds of the River.

My family along with my MIL and her husband had a delightful stay at this wonderful house. It was large and newly renovated! What a delightful surprise to find that the kitchen and bathroom were fully re-done but not shown in the listing photos. Usually you are disappointed that the photos don't show reality but in this case, we were thrilled. We loved the location and my kids have already asked to visit again!

Exactly what we needed for a group of 10 looking for a relaxed trip surrounded by nature. Super well-stocked, awesome deck in the back leading down to the river, and really charming home. Perfect location to raft the White Salmon (which we did) and to check out the falls. Would recommend!

We had a great time staying here. The back patio is so nice to sit on - you're surrounded by trees and can hear the river rushing just below. Kitchen was stocked with all the amenities. Nice stay on the River. Really centrally located to all of the outdoor activities that are available in this area. Comfortable house was clean and well stocked with all the essentials. We really enjoyed our time at Husum House. The house was clean and fully stocked. The location was great. We had so much fun watching the white water rafters jump off the bridge next to the property and enjoyed the beautiful river and rapids surrounding us. It was an easy drive into White Salmon and Hood River but far enough away that you really felt like you were out of the hustle and bustle of town.

Quiet Retreat for Wedding Party

My groom and I stayed here with our wedding party (6 adults total) in June over our wedding weekend. Matt was extremely easy to communicate with and was a reasonable host. The property is beautiful, location amazing. It is an older house but kept in excellent shape. We loved having coffee on the deck and evenings inside by the wood burning stove. We even got ready at the house prior to our wedding and the photos of us around the house and property are stunning. I would be back in a heartbeat!
