About this villa rental
Located at Las Colinas (“The Hills”), this beautifully and exuberantly landscaped villa overlooking the Great Marina de Chavon at Casa de Campo, features very large, open and elegantly decorated spaces along with spectacular views. With its tall wooden ceilings, and graced by the cool evening breezes, this exquisitely decorated villa creates the perfect ambiance for your vacation. Being halfway up the “farallon”, it places you only a few minutes away from Minitas Beach and, at the same time, also just at a few minutes ride from Altos de Chavón.
Opening the front door of the villa you first view a large double living room and an open terrace, also furnished with living and dining areas. But immediately your eyes look beyond… for you behold the Caribbean Ocean meeting the Mouth of the Chavon River!
Following a wide lanai that runs the width of the house just after the front door, you find to the left an air-conditioned adjoining studio outfitted with a large desk, wi-fi, flat-screen TV and stereo surround system.
In this left-wing of the house you have all the six (6) bedrooms, consisting of two Master-suites, each with a King-size bed, large bathroom, and ample closets; three large bedrooms with two Queen- size beds in each, all three with private baths, and ample closets, and a large convertible room with 2 twin-size beds, large bathroom and walk-in closet. All bedrooms have private, romantic balconies, and in addition, have safe-deposit boxes and hairdryers.
Following the lanai to the right of the front door, you first find a powder room and then the magnificent dining room, with seating for entertaining up to 12 guests. Overlooking the swimming pool and the ocean in the distance, the dining room is the perfect setting for a candle-light dinner after a fun filled day of excellent golf at any of the four resort courses. This wing of the house also contains the well stocked kitchen and the service staff quarters.
“Las Colinas ” villa comes fully staffed with maid, cook and butler, with daily service for breakfast, lunch and dinner at the request of guests (renters supply food). Daily cleaning and linen and towel service are also included. Laundry and ironing services are also provided at a nominal fee to be arranged with the staff. The staff leaves in the evening, but arrangements may be made at an additional charge for them to work late and/or stay overnight.

What an amazing stay! Perfect! The staff was absolutely incredible Eddie made us feel like home and family, Chris food was better than going to any restaurant. The house was beautiful, comfortable and incredibly clean.

Isabel & Eduardo’s house is absolutely lovely — with a tropical colonial vibe and truly indoor/outdoor spaces that felt like you were outside even when seated in the expansive great room. The landscaping is also lush & beautiful. We all enjoyed the pool. The house is also very large with a variety of spaces to hang out in including a TV room and several covered outdoor spaces. Isabel was always available to Answer questions and helped organize reservations and an agency to manage airport transfers and golf cart rentals.Also the house staff was kind and the chef prepared delicious food. It’s useful to sort out reservations and meals at the home in advance to give staff time to shop on your behalf. We were not Spanish speakers so it took us a little more time … but all good! It was our 1st time visiting Casa de Campo - perfect for families. Not impressed with the hotel gym (broken equipment & rather smelly) but the spa and hydrotherapy was luxurious and well-appointed. It was very relaxing and would be great to return with a large group — especially given the 6 bedrooms - 4 with double beds & 2 primary kings.

The property is spacious and bedrooms are appointed nicely. I would recommend up front communication with the property manager- particularly about making the best use of the butler and chef. It would be nice for the property manager to provide a menu of the favorite or “ wow” dishes that the cook enjoys preparing. As a result of communication matters, our party of 8 had only 2 dinners and 4 breakfasts prepared by the cook. We had 4 lunches out and 2 dinners out. I would ask for a tipping guideline in advance of the stay. I would understand clearly the expectation of the cook- working after 6 pm and understand her need for cab money. The bottom line, we didn’t maximize the use of the cook.
We had spent the first four nights in Cap Cana and had a chef, a butler and 2 maids. The chef killed it every meal ( 14) with a former flair. The manager provided the chefs top menus and recommended tipping well in advance of our arrival. This was communicated by the owners concierge in advance as well as a pre purchased grocery list. No worries, just suggestions and a credit card!
We were spoiled in Cap Cana and we were hosted about average. For instance, it took 1 day and a half to produce hot water- the explanation of the Butler is “ we keep our water temperature low”.. regardless of the temperature, most Americans that I know enjoy the option of a hot shower.
With the DR getting bad reviews related to security, Casa de Campo is very well secured, the activities ( Beach Club, The Marina, The Art district, Dye 4 Golf, horseback riding, dune buggies, snorkeling, restaurants) make certain that we will return to the property- likely closer to water front.
