About this house rental
This home is clean, spacious, and private. It has a contemporary feel while being completely comfortable and artistic. The owner is an artist and her work and creative touches are all over the home. It has 2 stories, 3 bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, wrap around deck that is partially covered, overlooking the mountain range called Black Rock. Downstairs is a spacious den where you can stream your favorite show on Netflix, play cards, work on a puzzle, dabble on the piano, or right outside is a covered patio with a 5 human hot tub. There is a laundry room available as well. It is the last house on the road and very private and is surrounded by 6.5 acres.
The house is 4 miles from downtown Sylva (galleries, restaurants, a brew pub), off highway 23/74 but tucked away; 9 miles from WCU campus, a 3 minute drive to the Blue Ridge Parkway entrance, 12 miles to Waynesville, 21 miles to Harrah's Casino and the Cherokee Indian reservation, and a 50 minute drive from Asheville. It is 40 miles from the Nantahala Gorge and river, and 27 miles to Maggie Valley. There is rafting, hiking, horseback riding, lakes, rivers, shopping, music all around. Other interesting areas nearby include: waterfalls from Franklin to Highlands, Deep Creek hiking trails/ fishing and the Smoky Mountain Railroad in Bryson City.
The home has strong WiFi for streaming and 2 smart TV's to use your apps on. A brand new HVAC unit has been installed. The homeowner will work with you on extended stay rates. Please inquire!! FYI this home no longer accepts pets.

Lara was extremely friendly and easy to communicate with. She checked to make sure we found somewhere for Thanksgiving dinner since I had been previously concerned and weren’t sure if eating out or shopping. The view from the hot tub was amazing. The downstairs is a nice little bonus if you have teenage kids to have their spot. The location was very centrally located for us to visit different cities.
The view from the hot tub, deck and off the couch were amazing.
I would suggest swapping rooms to the king bed in master and queen where king is, but facing the view instead of away.

We would love to come back for a longer trip and enjoy this place. Just far enough off main road to enjoy peace and quiet and scenery, but convenient to everything you may want to go. Or stay in. We didn’t lack a thing. Current photos don’t reflect a recent fix to open kitchen to the view…lovely out of every window. Owner great to deal with.

My sister and I and our husbands have spent our summer vacations in this area for the last three years. This house is by far our favorite. OMG. THE VIEW! The porch is where we spent most of our time, even saying “nah’ to day trips because we couldn’t leave the porch. Lara was very responsive to our few questions and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We would stay there again, but we’re all moving to North Carolina!
