We have been coming to Tybee since 2015 and renting a cottage from Mermaid Cottages. We have never been disappointed with our cottage. They have always been as described, very clean and maintained, and their customer service in preparing us for our visit is excellent. We always rent a golf cart and enjoy riding everywhere! Fannies and AJ Dockside are a must.This year we were able to attend the farmers and artisan market which was very good. The sunset dolphin cruise is awesome. The weather this year was unusually hot but it did not interfere with our fun. We have celebrated school graduations and birthdays at Tybee. We plan to return each summer as long as we can. We always give our family vacations a top rating and can rely on Mermaid Cottages to provide a wonderful cottage.See you next year!!

I’ve been wanting to stay at a Mermaid Cottage for years. We had a narrow window for a quick getaway, and I was thrilled to find an available cottage—Flips Flop House completely exceeded all my expectations!There was plenty of space for our group of six plus our dog, and we even got to welcome an old friend for a visit. The porches were a fun hangout for games, and even though it’s right across from AJ’s, the area was peaceful and never noisy. We enjoyed cooking most nights in the kitchen - the only thing I’d add would be a small saucepan! The house itself is full of charm, character, and comfort—it felt like home the moment we walked in.Tammy and the Mermaid team went above and beyond. They checked in regularly, shared helpful info about island events, and made sure we had everything we needed. What really touched me was their kindness: when they learned this trip was a last-minute getaway before I begin a long course of medical treatment, they left a thoughtful card and gift that meant the world to me.This was so much more than just a vacation rental. Flips Flop House gave us space to relax, reconnect, and make memories during a meaningful time. I’ll never forget it. Thank you, Mermaids, for making it so special.

I was looking for a rental that would allow our family to stay together for a family wedding. They went above and beyond to make sure that we had a great experience. The Flip Flop house was perfect. It had plenty of space for all to crash and wonderful porches to hang out on! We were only going to be there for a short time and Jan arranged for us to check in a bit early and then allowed us to leave late! Thank you Jan!! With our crowd being older and scattered family time is precious. You made our trip a memory and that was exactly what I was hoping for! Great Experience!!
