Big Platte Lake is perfect for boating, swimming, hanging at the sand bar, and great fishing. Platte river runs through the lake keeping water clean. Cottage is a recently renovated 4 bedroom and 1.5 bath that will sleep 9-10. 100 feet of sandy beach frontage. Newly added 8 person barrel sauna (Aug 2025). Amenities include: 3 adult kayaks, 2 children kayaks, 1 canoe, 2 paddle boards, 4 floating tubes, and wifi.
Pontoon is also available to rent if interested. 4 bedrooms include: 2 rooms with 1 queen bed each, 1 bedroom with a full size bed, and 1 bedroom with 3 twin beds and an available roll-away and pack-n-play. Nearby attractions include: Lake Michigan, Frankfurt, Sleeping Bear Dunes, Traverse City, wineries/distilleries, amazing golf courses including Arcadia Bluffs, Crystal Mountain, and a drive-in movie theater. If you're looking for a cottage with vintage modern charm this is the perfect place and close to many northern attractions.
Belauh is 30 mile drive to Traverse City , 5 minute drive to Lake Michigan, 12 miles to Frankfurt, 15 miles to Crystal Mountain, 22 miles to Arcadia Bluffs, 14 miles to Sleeping Bear Dunes headquarters in Empire, 7 miles to St Ambrose winery, 18 miles to Iron Fish Distillery, 2 miles to Cherry Bowl Drive-In movie theater, and 11 miles to Betsie Lighthouse.

Great location, quiet and peaceful, lots of trees. The back of the house faces north so the sun was never in our eyes while sitting out back and enjoying the weather. We even found 2 petoskey stones on the lakeshore. It was a wonderful place to stay for our first visit to Michigan.
