Bayfront - North Mission Beach

The condo was perfectly situated near the beach (two short block walk), the bay, the zoo (15ish minute drive) and Sea World (10 minute drive). Small issue with the hall shower, but we were able to use the primary bath for all our needs. Communication with the host was great, with prompt replies and clear directions for entry and exit protocols. Our only issue was with the neighbors. Across the street is the Mission Bay Womens Club and they rent out their venue for events. There was an event every night we were in the condo and all but one were okay to deal with. The wedding reception on Saturday night was so loud that we could hear the songs full-on inside the condo, with the doors and windows shut. It was so loud you could feel the bass which was vibrating liquids in glasses. The noise ordinance was not obeyed for this event. It finally ended at 10:15 pm. The kids finally crashed at 9:30ish. So if you come you might want to bring ear plugs. The condo sits one floor above a busy stop sign/corner for the marina/parking/playground and walking/running/biking path. This isn't really a problem normally, but there are the odd vehicles that are blaring music. Other than the noise, it was almost perfect. Be sure to bring your own shower supplies, none are provided. We all had a truly wonderful time. It was the grandkids first time at the ocean and they loved it.

Property a little dated but roomy and comfortable and great location… previous reviews accurate regarding street noise below - but we were so tired from our adventures I slept well with some earplugs .. we even chatted with some people out and about from the balcony!

The unit was clean and comfortable. The beds are very comfortable. The kitchen had everything you could need for cooking. The layout of the unit was lovely (very family friendly) and the convenience of having laundry in unit was very appreciated. The location was great, very close to food, drinks, shops and most importantly, the water. Additionally the owner was incredibly responsive to our questions. He really seemed to care. We would absolutely stay here again.

Good spot for the price. Family of 6 w/4 kids and had plenty of space. Pros- location, parking, great communication with owner, lots of kitchen tools/etc, lots of pillows and blankets, fans and heater options, 3 beach chairs/ 1 beach umbrella and plenty of sand toys. Cons- No A/C and some windows had no screens or damaged screens (thankful for the low 70s temps as it would be miserable to stay here if the temps were any higher), master bed was too soft and felt sunken toward the middle, couch smelled like smoker person had lived on it for the last month, overall musty smell, not enough bath towels (only 7 so we did laundry a lot) and only 3 beach towels (but the owner did quickly respond and brought 4 more the next day), not many seasonings/no salt (only margarita salt), one griddle pan had old food/mold growing on it, guest bath needs a deep clean around the outside tub/toilet area, some of the blinds in the bunk room and kitchen were missing a few panels, patio chairs showing wear and rust. Overall, it was a good spot for the week we stayed and we did most of our meals there and everything we needed worked well for our needs. Would we stay again? Maybe- would need to have a new mattress for master and a deep clean on the couch smell, and we would only try to book for a cooler season as there is no A/C. We thoroughly enjoyed the beach time and how close it was to everything we wanted to do. Side note, there is a wedding venue next door so it got loud until 10pm some nights.
