Overall, the property met expectations and was an excellent place to stay. The location is excellent as it is within walking distance to shops, the beach and restaurants. And the walk is both scenic and comfortable. It is a very short drive to the golf course and to many of the surrounding amenities such as beaches, additional grocery shopping and local sites such as a Macadamia Nut factory. It is a very short drive to the airport, to Kona and to a Sr. PGA Tour Event (if you like golf) if you are visiting in January. As with all ground floor condos, you have to be cognizant and diligent when it comes to insects wanting to infiltrate your home, but the grounds crew must do a very good job because the number of insects outside were minimal compared to other places we have stayed. All in all, we had another great vacation at Waikoloa Beach Village and this time was at The Shores.

The Shores at Waikoloa is one of the best places to stay in Waikoloa, because of the well-maintained landscape, large apartments and lanais. We've had a very pleasant stay there, and could walk to most places we've needed to go. The sun sets and sun rises are the best.

Loved staying in this roomy ground floor condo. Breakfast outside listening to all the birds was perfect. The grounds are beautiful! Kerrie was a great host. Basket of goodies on the table was a lovely touch. Easy check-in and communication.

This was my second stay at this unit. Fantastic location close to several great beaches. Kitchen has everything you need to cook with and bbq’s are brand new. The lanai is perfect to enjoy breakfast and enjoy the beautiful landscape. Kerri is very accommodating and communicates well before and during your stay. Would recommend to anyone traveling to the big island.

This property really was in an ideal location. Not too far from the beach or stores. The condo itself was very comfortable and had everything you would we need. From sandwich bags for packing up a little lunch to beach towels, snorkel equipment, and beach chairs. The king bed was super comfortable. Bathrooms nice and spacious, temperature of condo stayed very cool. Lovely patio area. Nice and quiet neighborhood. 10/10 :) We would definitely stay here again. Then you.

This was our first trip to the island of Hawaii. The Shores at Waikaloa is truly a gem. No traffic or HVAC noise- just birds and breezes. The grounds are impeccably kept. The whole area is lovely for walking. The condo itself is very comfortable and clean. The spacious lanai was our favorite place to hang out. We loved our stay and were sad to leave.

The condo is well maintained and decorated. Excellent location. It was nice to have washing machine soap, dish washer soap and all other necessities (paper towels, shampoo) etc. nice welcome basket upon arrival. Only disappointment was that there was only one set of snorkel equipment, and not really very good at that. Would definitely recommend and return.

Recommend this condo to anyone traveling to the Big Island. Kerrie was great with pre-arrival messages & information. The unit was clean, located in a great gated community, close to beaches and has a very peaceful vibe. Kitchen was well stocked for cooking anything and new appliances. Bedrooms were clean, had space to put all your stuff away and comfortable beds. Two community barbecues about 200 feet from the unit were great to use and the assigned parking spot is close to the unit for moving in or out. Mahalo for the wonderful 8 nights at this beautiful place!

Loved everything about the condo except for the bathroom. Both bathrooms shower fixture was loose and because it was loose, you can see a mold building up. The shower head in the master bathroom water flow wasn’t shooting out in the same direction.

We enjoyed our visit to the Island, and appreciate the thoughtfulness of everything that was provided for a comfortable stay. The condo was extremely clean. We really enjoyed the condo grounds and sitting on the large lanai. Kerrie was very easy to communicate with and kept us updated during our stay on extreme weather and other events. It was difficult for my husband who uses a walker to access some areas of the condo and complex.

Our family spent 10 wonderful nights here over Christmas. We came to Hawaii to relax, and this condo was the perfect place for us. It was great being able to walk to the shore/beach (A-Bay) and nearby shops. After walking by the loud grounds of the nearby resorts, we appreciated coming back to our quiet vacation home and its uncrowded pool and (super hot!) hot tub. We brought our tennis rackets—there are two nice courts, and there was always one available when we wanted to play. We did a couple day trips to Kona and Hilo—both are easy to get to from here. The condo was well-stocked with plenty of cookware/dishes—we ate breakfast and bird/mongoose/gecko watched on the lanai every day and cooked several other meals during our stay. There’s also lots of beach toys and equipment. The furniture was great, and the laminate flooring looked new. Our college-age daughter said her bed was the most comfortable bed she’s ever slept in (she was, unfortunately, under the weather for a couple days during our stay, so she spent extra time in it). Kerrie was wonderful to work with—super responsive and helpful! We would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful condo and loved the peacefulness of the property. The kitchen and outside locked closet were both very well stocked with everything you might need. The condo was very clean upon arrival and check in was smooth and as expected. We appreciated the welcome fruit basket and all of the information provided on the area and restaurants and activities. The condo is very well appointed! We were very impressed with the “little things” such as laundry and bathroom supplies. The kitchen has plenty of dishes, cookware and spices! Very comfortable! Our only challenge was the brightness in the master bedroom from the traffic to the parking lots. Think it could be easily resolved with black out curtains perhaps. Overall would highly recommend this condo!

This is a well located and had many extras not usually included in rental units. For example there was a large selection of spices, cooking oil , a large bowl of fresh fruit, a very wide selection of pots and pans and bowls, plus things like foil, plastic wrap, and food storage bags.

Great place, well supplied but had more bugs than we expected even for an island. With all the standing water around the resort that wasn’t well maintained, we had mosquitoes every night on the lanai, during the day at the pool and even killed multiple inside. Besides having to leave the resort to enjoy the outside, the place was great

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this well-equipped and spacious condo in Waikoloa. It's a great centre for touring the Big Island, with beautiful beaches and lots of facilities in the resort. Everything was spotless when we arrived, and the property manager Kerri was very responsive to any questions we had. We have rented many places for vacations and this one is one of the best. Mahalo!

This was a convenient and quiet location to access many activities around the island. The kitchen has many convenient items if you prefer to cook on vacation. It is so helpful to have some basic spices and items that are difficult to buy in small quantitiy.

Great condo in a great location. We will def come back and stay here again. Everything you could need is there from beach chairs to beach towels. Down the street from the resorts and shopping areas. My partner, her dad and I stayed at this property for our first trip to Big Island. Kerrie was super responsive despite our last-minute booking, and the place was great! Super clean, spacious, and located conveniently close to the saddle road for exploring the island. The kitchen was very well-appointed, and we really enjoyed the Big Island goodies Kerrie left to welcome us. Enjoying local fruit for breakfast on the lanai was one of the highlights of our trip to the island! Would highly recommend and stay again for sure.
