The studio offers a private entrance and outside patio area . The studio is an 11 x 12 room with a king size bed, mini refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. It has both central air and heat. It also features a bathroom with a large shower and full size washer and dryer. It is separate from the main house that is my primary residence. Main street Ocean Beach is about 1.5 miles from the home. Ocean Beach has shopping, restaurants, and bars.

One block from the ocean cliffs. Many local shops and restaurants. Unit is fully stocked with amenities. The private outdoor patio was excellent! Parking was always available. Very quiet.

Great stay!!! Small place, but just what we needed. There is a fridge, microwave and Keurig. You couldn't hope for a better location!!! Right across from the beach and within walking distance to lots of restaurants and bars.

Tom’s place was perfect for my girlfriend and I! You can’t beat the Sunset Cliffs location, even on one of the busiest weekends in San Diego. We were here during the 4th of July so we got to see fireworks all along the coast just a block away. Cliff views over the ocean never get old. There were no issues with parking either. The rental itself was the perfect size for the two of us and came with beach towels to use, bikes to ride, along with some beach chairs. Tom is also amazing, as we left a watch there and he offered to ship it back to us. Would love to stay here again!

The cabin is very nice and comfortable but there is a lack of space if you are two people and you don’t have the use of the patio due to rain. Without kitchen space I wouldn’t consider staying here again for any period more than 3 or 4 days. The patio is lovely and I was able to use the bicycles. Location is fantastic.

Peaceful relaxing stay. My husband and I enjoyed the patio. Great air conditioning was appreciated. The Sunset Cliffs and Pacific Ocean were less than a 5 minute walk from the abode. Tom was very responsive when we had questions.

Tom's studio was great. A couple hundred feet from sunset cliffs. The studio was super cozy but it worked well. Would be tough if anyone is a heavy packer though. AC worked well, auto patio lights were nice. Everything was great for privacy. Having one's own private patio to just hang outside was great. The washer/dryer is a nice perk. The shower takes a little bit to warm up but definitely gets hot. The bed is a nice king size, firm, not the coziest, but it gets the job done. Plenty of towels were available. I really enjoyed my stay. Would definitely do it again. Parking was a breeze

This is my go-to place to stay when I visit San Diego. Tom is a great host, the room is comfortable and clean (and includes a binder with the host's recommendations for breweries and restaurants in the area) The location is fantastic. Right by Sunset Cliffs and about a 20 minute walk from Ocean Beach. I will definitely book again!

Stayed here a few nights before heading to Hawaii. The property was very clean and had all the amenities you could ever need. There were no noise issues. There were no technical issues. The girlfriend and I put the bikes to good use and rode 10 minutes to Ocean Beach to satisfy our munchies. Thank you for the great stay!

The outside sitting area was very pretty surrounded by numerous succulent plants. It was a short walking distance to Sunset Cliffs and the wedding venue, the Thursday Club, was just a few blocks away.

Tom’s place was exactly how described and fit our needs perfectly! The property was exactly as stated. We came to San Diego for a couple days prior to a wedding wanting to explore. Our VRBO was perfect for that. If you’re go go going, I’d highly recommend Tom’s! The neighborhood was very safe and less than a 5 minute walk from the cliffs. We walked late at night and never once felt unsafe. *be sure to read the description of this house. if you’re a homebody who wants room, this is NOT for you.

The good: -beautiful & convent location to Ocean Beach -Bikes were appreciated & needed -washer & dryer was nice to have -nice patio furniture & heater outside -included coffee kcups & coffee maker What could be better: -the pillows are terrible .. easy fix -A mini fridge is needed, could do without the microwave for a fridge or access to ice -Some actual glasses/coffee cups would be more eco friendly than paper toss away cups -the bikes could use some maintenance The not good: -the place has a “feeling” of being private but with paper thin walls/half walls/fences, anyone can hear anything at anytime -because of the above, I got the impression that the owner has had instances of neighbor complaints & is overtly sensitive to sound …on our last Friday night, we were enjoying some soft background music & quiet conversation on the patio & at 12:55 the owner opens the door to the patio (only time we saw him during our stay) & effectively told us it was time for bed! What a strange feeling that was … know before you go!

This charming (think small) studio was all we needed for our visit. I walked along the cliffs and enjoyed all the flowers in bloom. Unlike other areas of Ocean Beach, we did not hear the airport traffic or anything, very quiet. The sitting area outside was pleasant with a heater and privacy. Nice for a couple to stay in the area.

Tom was a lovely and inviting host. We immediately felt welcomed to the property. He had beach towels and chairs laid out for us on the beautiful patio area, which was a nice touch. We greatly appreciated his book of local recommendations (side note, he is a fantastic and creative writer!). This neighborhood is right by the beach, and has a wide variety of cute restaurants and breweries nearby. I highly recommend this place!
