This spectacular unit offers 600 square feet of living space with an open floor plan, boasting a contemporary beach-chic decor aesthetic, unique artwork and posh fabrics and finishes. The bedroom features a king bed with premium mattress, luxury linens and a flat screen TV. The living area hosts a flat screen TV, floor to ceiling glass windows/door which leads directly to the pool deck and the panoramic vistas of the Emerald Coast.
The kitchen is fully equipped with everything needed to prepare a delicious meal, or you can grill up the day's fresh catch on the community charcoal grills (there are plenty of local seafood markets for those who prefer buying their gulf fare instead of catching it!) This well-equipped unit also features a washer/dryer, tile throughout, DVD player, premium TV channels, WIFI and a dedicated covered parking spot (a rare amenity in Perdido Key!)
The impressive master suite boasts a king bed with luxurious linens and a premium mattress, a large television and attached bath. The living room sofa can be converted into a queen sleeper affording comfortable accommodations for up to 4 throughout! Yes, the views of the Gulf were spectacular, but ... I was not to happy with some other things.
First - the rental agency - Luxury Coastal Vacations. I have nothing but good things to say about this company. The communication between us was always timely, informative, and accurate. I would recommend their agency to anyone.
Secondly, the condo itself. There is no way to change most things I will mention since the condo is obviously built. I’m just not sure that the architects who designed this unit gave much thought to the people who will occupy the condo.
There is one door in the entire condo - is the bathroom door. The bedroom has no privacy whatsoever. You must walk thru the bedroom to get to the rest of the condo. If you have guests and they need to use the restroom at night they must walk through the bedroom.
The location of the washer/dryer - It is in a cabinet that sits between the kitchen and the living room. It is so noisy that it is impossible to talk or watch TV.
There is no wall between condos on the balcony – so no privacy. All of the floors above this one have the divider walls. This was a major negative for me.
Thirdly, the furnishings which, I assume, is the responsibility of the owner. The bedroom is very nice and there is a large flatscreen TV on the wall. The chest is against the wall in the hallway. In the living room nothing matches, except the end tables with the coffee table. The sofa/sleeper needs to be replaced. If you try to sit on it you sink down quite low. I opted for the only chair available, an armless straight chair.
The kitchen is quite small with very limited counter space and just a few cabinets. There is no pantry for food storage so I ended up storing it in the living room in the entertainment center below the TV. The kitchen is well equipped with dishes and utensils, and all appliances are in great working condition.
The bathroom is done very nicely.
There is no doorstop for the balcony door. It has a strong door closer and there is no way to keep it open if you want a nice breeze coming in.
There is no light in the kitchen except the chandelier over the table which is about 10 feet away. So you’re left preparing food on the stove top with the hood light on.
In conclusion, I personally would never rent this unit again - just too many things I don’t like that tend to make your trip a little less enjoyable. I have tried to be objective and present both the positives and negatives as I saw them.
