About this apartment rental
This beautifully updated two bedroom/two bath condo at The Villas at Walton Creek has been lovingly cared for since we purchased it new in 1998. Comfortably accommodating 4 - 6, we recently finished some extensive upgrades, including replacing the tired old carpet with new hardwood flooring and new slate tile in the main areas, adding new carpet in bedrooms, new quartz counters, stainless appliances and canister lighting in the kitchen, and remodeling both bathrooms. We've made sure the condo has everything you need for a winter or summer holiday! The complex includes an outdoor hot tub for relaxing after a hard day on the slopes or on the trail.
Conveniently located close to the Gondola base, The Villas is only a short walk along a scenic creek-side paved path that takes you to the gondola, ski slopes or summer hiking in just a 10 minute walk. A ride on the free bus (available every 15-20 minutes) gives quick access to the slopes, nearby restaurants and grocery stores. Shops and other activities in downtown Steamboat Springs are just two miles away on the same bus route. Regularly scheduled HDN and DIA airport shuttles pick up and drop off guests right at our door so you don't need to even have a rental car. The unit is a spacious 1,087 square feet on the 2nd floor with a private heated garage/entrance below.
There is a fully-equipped kitchen with new stainless steel appliances, charming log queen bed in master bed-room, bunk bed in the second bedroom (full-size bed on bottom, twin on top) down comforters for all beds, and queen pull-out sofa in the living room. Sunny decks are located off both the living room and master bedroom with views of the ski area and the Flat Tops. You'll have many moments of tranquility just looking at the magnificent views. A gas fireplace in the living room will be welcome after a day on the mountain.
Other conveniences include a barbecue, tables and chairs on the decks, two color TVs with HD cable, 40' LCD HD Flat screen in living room, Blu-ray DVD players, Bose iPod sound dock, board games, Free high speed wireless internet, and hot tub on site. This is a quiet complex with only 6 units per building. Private heated single car garage with mudroom and staircase entrance. There are many resident owners, making this a great location for families. Includes stackable washer and dryer. Additional towels and linens, as well as housekeeping are provided. There may be a cleaning fee for four nights or less. 4 night minimum stay during the winter season please.

We had a great stay! The condo exceeded our expectations. It was clean, spacious for our family of four and was just a few shuttle stops away from the mountain. Gregg was always very responsive and we appreciated all the information to help make our stay easy and convenient.

We’ve rented VRBO’s for over a decade and this is the nicest condo we’ve ever stayed in. Everything in it is high-end and like new. The unit is beautiful and well laid-out. So nice to have a bathroom for our sons and one for us – ours had two sinks which was really handy. We loved having a garage to store our trailer and motorcycles in too. We appreciated the extras in the condo – trash bags, DW soap, toilet paper, spices, legos, bikes, bike helmets, coolers, etc. (some VRBO’s have nothing). Loved the in-unit washer/dryer which allowed us to pack light (just 3-4 outfits we washed and wore again). Dishwasher was great and saved us time. They have a nice area to store gear right as you get in from the garage, which was perfect for motorcycle helmet and would be great for ski gear too. The location was nice, on the end of the Yampa River trail and just a 5 minute drive to the busy downtown, but surrounded by trees. It has a beautiful view of the mountains and we ate outside on the balcony whenever possible. The hot tub was wonderful. We used it nearly every night and always had it to ourselves. We did hikes, biked the Yampa River trail (with their bike & helmet), rented kayaks on Pearl Lake and rode the OHV trails on our Enduro motorcycles. Husband said he had 2 of the best days of his life riding the OHV trails with our 17 and 20 year old sons on this vacation. We don’t like to eat out, so we were pleased to find Steamboat had nice City Market grocery store which is a Kroger brand store (like home) with lots of ready to eat items in the deli. Liquor store is right next door for wine and beer. We used the condo’s grill twice – the first time the gas ran out, but they had another tank ready to go right there on the balcony. Owner was wonderful to work with and communicated well and responded to any questions very quickly. I can’t say enough about this condo and owner. They were both fantastic. My kids and husband thanked me several times for choosing such a nice place. You will not be disappointed.

Nice, quiet neighborhood. Very comfortable stay for our family of 4. Nice amenities throughout. The kitchen had all we needed for meals at the condo. We did find a box fan in the closet which helped pull the cool air in during the evenings. Would definitely stay here again! Thank you Gregg & Lindy!
