Welcome to Cartagena Correa’s Condominiums. Building ‘s name Altamar de Marbella Penthouse 32A .We are only 8 blocks from the old City (Ciudad Amurallada) a taxi will charge about $10,000 in pesos ($4.00 dollars) for the 7 minute drive from the airport.

We own the only Penthouse in the building, with a 360 degree view of the Ocean and Lake.
With high ceilings of aprox. 30' feet high.

The Master bedroom has its own private balcony that overlooks the entire bay, old city, La Popa monastery, and La Boquilla. Spectacular views at night and sunset. Upstairs bedrooms have king size beds and 42"T.Vs
The 3rd bedroom downstairs has 2 twin size beds.
The 4th bedroom downstairs has 2 twin size beds and a roll out bed.
TV in living room is 46" with dvd and cable channels in spanish and english.

This was our first time to Columbia so we weren't really sure what to expect and where to stay. We felt very comfortable and safe at Ana's penthouse. It was spacious to allow our group of 8 to each have a bedroom and not feel crowded. Glenda coming each day to make coffee, breakfast, and make beds/clean was one of our highlights. It does state 3 bathrooms, but we thought it meant that each master suite had a bathroom and were surprised that the third bathroom was very small off the kitchen/laundry and mainly used by Glenda. The balcony had beautiful views and we spent time at the pool and the short walk across the street to spend a day at the beach. We had read that this area was a good location - it was safe (especially with the security guards at the entrance of the building), but we kind of wished we would have been closer to the walled city where there were tons of fun shops and restaurants. There weren't a lot of restaurants near us and it was about a half mile walk to get there. The security guards at the front desk will arrange for taxi pick-up so that was very easy as well. All in all we would recommend this penthouse. Fun place, spacious to relax.

This was the first place that appeared when my family and I were looking for a place to stay in Colombia, and we are so happy that was our first pic as well. Not only did the host post exact pictures of where we stay but everything was precise right down to the money.The only thing was the living room area was a bit hot. Glenda took care of us like we were her own children. Breakfast was amazing and one day she even cooked for us, and made fresh squeezed lemonade for us.We will definitely be coming back to Cartagena and this will be the only place we will stay at.Thank you to Ana the host, who we never met, but was in contact with us throughout.

Even the pictures didn’t prepare us for the experience. We love this unit, you feel relaxed when you enter. It is just as described. The view is breathtaking. We were are a family of 8 and not one complaint from anyone. I could live hete and the attendant went over and above. Loved herThis is the best anyone selecting this unit will be more than pleased…We’ll be back!!!

Pros:
The penthouse is a great condo, with great views in all directions. Good security to access the building as well.
The housekeeper is very sweet, and willing to do everything including cook great breakfasts each day of our stay. We bought food, she cooked it. And was very willing to do any cleaning, etc. that we needed.
Ground transportation point person from the airport was provided by the owner (extra charge). Great service, highly recommend.
Easy access to taxis for any transportation needs from the condo.
Cons:
There are ants all over the condo. I reached out to the owner on multiple occasions after arriving but did not hear back at all. I bought ant spray at the local market within walking distance, but they kept coming back.
The washer leaked water from the utility room into the kitchen.
There is mold in the master closet, with a stain on the ceiling, causing a musty smell throughout the master bedroom.
The first day, the TV did not stay on, so I reached out to the owner. We did not receive a response. Good news is the TV worked fine the next day and the remainder of our stay.
Overall, we recommend this condo for a large family (we had 7 adults and we were comfortable), the location is easy from the airport, and easy to the walled city. Just that the condo needs updating, and the owner needs to be more responsive.
