About this apartment rental
Our spectacular beach property is 'On The Sand,' offering its own private beach while providing white water views and soothing ocean sounds (you hear the surf in every room). It has a bright beachy decor and a quiet location - conveniently located halfway between the Village in Carlsbad and the Pier in Oceanside (we walk on the sand to both).
This completely renovated home is fully furnished (we relax here frequently) and offers sweeping ocean views from La Jolla to Catalina. You can watch the dolphins play or the whales spout from the living room, deck, or beach.
At night, visit one of the area's fine restaurants or simply dine on the beach while watching the beautiful sun set over the Pacific. During the day, relax on the beach or enjoy the numerous activities that are unique to this fabulous destination.

UNIT B (sleeps 1 to 6): Has 2 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms and has a California king size bed in the master bedroom, a full size on the bottom and twin on top (bunk bed) in the guest bedroom, and a queen size sofa sleeper in the living room.
There are 3 different units. Unit A (2 Bd, 1 Ba - sleeps 6), Unit B (2 Bd, 2 Ba - sleeps 6), and Unit C (1 Bd, 1 Ba - sleeps 4). Unit A is VRBO #882233, Unit C is VRBO #253036, and all 3 units are VRBO #882235.
The units are vertically arranged with Unit A at the street level, Unit B in the middle, and Unit C at the sand level. All 3 units face the ocean, have oceanfront decks, and share the private beach.
Our beach house is 'well cared for' since we personally (as well as our family) stay in all 3 units, and we do have wireless broadband internet access. Over the years, we have had 100s of delighted beach loving guests.

Great location. The noise from other renters was unpleasant. Sounds travel easily through floor and ceiling. Sounded like unit a renters were pacing back and forth and dropping a medicine ball through most of the night.

You can’t beat the location of this place, but unfortunately the interior is shabby and tired. There is no ventilation besides the windows, so the bunk bed smelled musty (in spite of the really strong smelling laundry detergent they used) and the bathroom vanity was in rough shape, the caulk was moldy and the ceiling paint was peeling in the shower. This was our first time to Oceanside and it did feel like the pictures of people on the beach were a little misleading. The only time you could walk along the beach in front of this unit (in February) was for a very short period of time at low tide in the afternoon. The rest of the time the ocean was too high. The owner was fantastic and got an electrician out right away when the little heater wouldn’t work. They just updated the siding and decks, which look great, hopefully they will update the interior next!
