This authentic log cabin offers the perfect mix of cozy comfort and adventure, just minutes from the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park.

* This home is located in the fire zone from the East Troublesome Fire in 2020, which took most of the homes in Sun Valley. However, this lot was not directly impacted and does still have lush vegetation surrounding the home. The area is rebuilding, but large portions of our trees are sadly gone. The spirit of Grand Lake is strong and the recovery process is well under way! The vegetation is returning, and we continue to recover and tell our story of surviving the 2nd largest wildfire in US history*
* Due to the rebuilding and restoration process, some construction noise could be possible.

- 4WD / AWD, Snow Tires or Chains are required for winter arrivals. Winter conditions can occur anytime Oct. 1st - Jun 1st.
**Important Notes:
- No power craft (electric or gas) of any kind are allowed on Sun Valley Lake.
- The pictured woodburning fireplace in the living room is not available for use. *The woodburning stove near kitchen CAN be used*
- There are steep, open log stairs to both bedrooms that might be dangerous or difficult for children and people with mobility issues.
- **Because of the remote mountain location and proximity to the wilderness, there is higher iron content in
the water, which can leave an orange residue. It is safe but not everyone is accustomed to it. We do recommend purchasing bottled water for your visit.

Great cabin on the lake. I recommend bringing bottled water with you because the tap water is very high in iron.

As someone coming from Boulder, I was no stranger to a beautiful mountain vista. However the lakefront property of Coyote Cabin, just within the bounds of RMNP blew us away. Having such easy lake access made it difficult to even leave the property. The place was very lovely and clean. My only problem, there was a fish hook lodged in the carpet near the wood stove which I unfortunately stepped on. The rest of the place however was perfect.

The cabin was clean and as described in the VRBO app. The stairs are a hazard, and that was a constant concern with our friend who is partially disabled. The bay window had a large crack, and I was honestly worried the window would come crashing down. The gas grill outside was an issue, as it's all internet enabled and was a big hassle. I finally figured out it needed to be plugged into an electric outlet to work. No instructions, I just had to figure it out - and it delayed our one cooked meal by 30 minutes while I figured it out.
