About this house rental
Our house is located in a quite, beautiful neighborhood. It is a short distance to the beach (only 1 mile to the beach). The backyard backs up to the Bethany Canal. It feels more like a home than a summer rental. From June 1st to September 5th , weekly rentals only - Saturday - Saturday. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishes, silverware, pots, pans, coffeemaker, etc. It is shabby-chic with granite countertops, and open shelving, and connects to the family room. The living areas are very comfy with a pottery barn feel and cozy leather furniture with hardwood floors throughout. Dining area off kitchen with extra dishes for a large family. Upstairs, the master bedroom has a king-sized bed, walk-in closet, full private bath, T.V, and DVD player. The other 3 bedrooms have comfortable queen beds and share an additional full bath. All bedrooms have ceiling fans for additional comfort. Enjoy cocktails on the large deck, and cook on the grill while watching friends or kids kayak in the canal. The backyard is a bird lovers' paradise that feels and looks like a nature reserve. There is a majestic Blue Heron living there that we named Ted! You can also leave your car in the driveway and take the fun and convenient trolley to town and the beach. It cost a whopping quarter to ride. The trolley runs 9 am - 10 pm every 30 minutes. During the summer we ONLY rent Saturday to Saturday from Memorial Day to Labor Day. LINENS AND TOWELS ARE NOT INCLUDED. Please bring your own.

The house was the perfect size and location for us. Having a parking pass to use at the beach was a huge plus. Upon arrival, we saw a fox run through the woods and we also saw a deer just hanging out behind the house. There was plenty of room to spread out. The kids could watch something in one room and the adults the other.Ajay was responsive and available if we had any questions. The only negatives, were the floors were'nt the cleanest. I realize your at the beach and you're going to have sand, but the bathrooms had hair, etc. as well. I'm not sure when the house was rented prior to our arrival, but there was food left in the frig, we dumped the milk, but left the other items. The only other thing is, I'd remove the mention about kayaking in the canal for a couple reasons. 1: the canal is very dirty and 2: there really wasn't an easy way to scale the bank to get to the water. Oh and the beds, there are actually 1 king, 2 queen and 1 full size bed. It wasn't an issue for us though. All in all, we had a great vacation and would stay here again. Thank you.

I stayed here for 10 weeks and the house was very convenient with it being right on the trolley route. Ajar and his wife were wonderful and staying in constant communication making sure eveything was going well since I was there for such a long stay. I loved my first summer in Bethany and look forward to many more.

Overall we had a nice stay, the house was fine. The owner was responsive to our questions and checked in with us to make sure we got in to the house fine upon our arrival.

The location was great with a very short drive to the beach. The back deck and porch were great for the whole family. The house clearly had some appliance
and other home upgrades (dishwasher, refrigerator, roof, and TV's). The beds were comfortable. However the house had a musty moist stinky smell in a lot of rooms. Water spots on the ceiling. Some rooms did not seem like they have been cleaned all summer. There were bottles left under a bed, dog fur all over, dust, and spider webs in corners, etc. There were a lot of roofing nails all over the front and back yard. We were not comfortable with using the dishes or utensils due to the lack of cleanliness inside the drawers. We had to clean the washer, toaster, and some living spaces. Also, the pans seemed too old and scratched. We purchased some when we were there. It seems like the house needs a deep, thorough cleaning. It would help a lot. It did not have a pool table or working fireplace as stated in the description. The owner did reach out to ask how we were doing. The kids loved the trolley ride, which picked us up directly in front of the house. Overall we did truly enjoy our trip though.
