This is our 4th year in a row at this home. The owner is beyond amazing! Very accommodating, friendly, responsive, I can't say enough good things. The home is always clean, very comfortable, great location! The outdoor patio is a huge bonus! Couldn't ask for a better experience!

This is my second stay here. I am ready to book again for next summer. The location is perfect (we never used our vehicle while we were there). Owner has the garage stocked with any toys, chairs, umbrellas, etc, so just show up with your bathing suit! Rachel (owner) very quick to respond with any questions or concerns. I highly recommend this home for your next beach vacation. Like the terminator says...I'LL BE BACK. :)

We had an amazing stay at this beach house! The location couldn't be better—just steps from the sand and close to local shops and restaurants. The amenities were top-notch, from the fully equipped kitchen to the spacious living area, making it perfect for our family. We loved the outdoor space for morning coffee and evening sunsets. Communication with the host was seamless, and they made sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to enjoy a beach getaway! We will be back!!!!

Loved the outdoor fire pit and closeness to the beach, although not having a regular coffeemaker and only a Keurig with no pods was inconvenient, no shampoo or conditioner was disappointing, the bathroom window steel edge was broken and window would not lock, we had a lot of flies in the house with no screens on front slider and front door, one of the tall folding chairs is broken and website states checkout is 11am but we were told to be out by 10am but would stay here again with these minor issues

This is a comfortable, lovely location! Rachel has a great place to chill out at the end of a days sightseeing in San Diego. No more than 15 minutes from anywhere you’d want to be and great, reasonably priced restaurants. Little too chilly to enjoy the beach, but it’s so close the waves can calm you to sleep.

We visit every summer from NC and have found Mission beach to be ideal for our 9 year old twins. It has the beach, Belmont, the plunge and close proximity to Sea World and the Zoo. There are lots of things to occupy us from here. We always want to find a place that is clean, close to everything and has good PARKING. This place met all our criteria and as a bonus has an excellent property manager. The only issue we ran into was a broken key for the garage which was fixed immediately. The house was clean and cozy, front area was great for sitting and people watching, BBQ if you want. Kitchen had all the expected amenities. No issues with wifi access. Master shower had great water pressure (not always the case is SoCal). We were very happy with our stay.

This house was perfect for a family of 6 spring break trip. There was plenty of room for everyone and the house was well stocked with all our needs. The property manager had great communication prior and during our stay. The house is steps to the beach which was the biggest plus for us and the kids. It was so nice to not have to load up the car for beach day. There are tons of restaurants, bars, and coffee places within walking distance. The house is footsteps to a beach front paved walkway. There were plenty of dishes, towels, linens, beach toys, and everything we mihht need on site. The outdoor patio area is amazing! There is plenty of seating, a fireplace, and a bbq, and you can hear and smell the ocean. We will definitely be back to the property. This place is amazing!

This property has a great location that is choose enough to the boardwalk that you can see the water, but far enough that you don't get the hustle and bustle noise. The neighborhood is very quiet and nice. The house itself is a simple home that has the basics that you need for a group of 6. Lots of beach toys, and and a lovely patio to sit out and enjoy meals with sunrise and sunset. Our 4Runner fit in both the garage and the spare parking spots. The host was very responsive to questions and easy to work with. Our only suggestions would be to have a check in book with the basics laid out since cell service is really bad in the house. We didn't get the welcome text with wifi info until we walked down the street for reception. Maybe send the text via the VRBO chat to have it all in one place. A list of local favorite restaurants and things to do would be a bonus. Also would recommend few upgrades like new shower heads, and plastic dinnerware for kids as well as backup. The mattress in the master is lumpy and ready to be replaced, but all other beds were great. In fa t I didn't realize that the kids room has 2 twin beds AND extra pullouts. The couch in the living room is new and really nice! Overall we had a great stay in a perfect location and wouldn't hesitate to book here again. Thank you for hosting us!

We had a family of five adults staying at this location. Overall it was a great location just a block from the beach. Pros: Location, Beds were comfortable, kitchen well stocked. Cons: Parts of the houses were dated, lot of minor repairs needed (several lightbulbs out, refrigerator light not working, Oven light and fan not working, hallway bathtub had standing water after a shower, Grill needs to be cleaned out and it has a lot of stuff cake on the burners). The owner was responsive and acknowledged the various issues but given the cost of this place I would have not expected this many maintenance issues. We stayed in 2 other places while in San Diego and they were both in better shape at 2/3 the cost. I would stay there again but not at that price point.
