Family farm home situated on a spacious farm site.
Welcome to Jim's at Ibling's Family Farm. This updated home is situated in Brownsdale, MN located on a family farm site that has been in our family for more that 100 years.
Named Jim's after my father who resided there. This location provides a beautiful venue for small get togethers, couples retreats or other special events.
We are 90 minutes south of the Twin Cities just off Hwy 56. We are less than 45 minutes away from Rochester, MN home of the renowned Mayo Clinic and less than 15 minutes from Austin, MN home of the Spam Museum.
In today's hectic busy world, let this be your escape from the daily grind and a place to recharge your batteries. Relax and enjoy the natural beauty that surrounds you.
Take in the sunset from the covered porch. Enjoy the walking trails and explore all that nature has to offer. Have a morning cup of coffee on the beautiful porch.
Plan a picnic out in the woods by the creek that meanders through the property.
Take pleasure in a romantic candlelight dinner in our beautifully-decorated home.
With 2-bedrooms and 1-bathroom in a fully-remodeled home this is an ideal vacation getaway for a romantic retreat or other small events. There couldn't be a more perfect spot for your unique gathering. Please note that the bathroom in on the main floor and bedrooms are on 2nd floor.
We provide bottle watered in the home since we have tested marginally high on nitrates found in water. This is just for consumption. Doing dishes or showering are not affected.

The house worked ok for us as far as location. The website did not disclose and we were not notified (until we arrived) that the tap water was high in nitrates and we had to use bottled water, which the host provided. This caused some inconvenience. The website also did not reveal that the two bedrooms were upstairs and the bathroom was downstairs, and the stairs were quite steep and narrow. The televisions disappointed us too because of poor reception downstairs and very few channels available. We enjoyed walking on the paths through the farm yard.

This home provided my family a cozy, clean, and fully supplied stay. It felt like when you go visit family and you can just relax because you know everything is clean and the house has everything you need. The host was very kind and responsive. I highly recommend staying here or across the street at their other properties. The historical family pictures add a nice touch too. Love that rural Minnesota charm.

House was closer to highway than indicated in ad. Those trucks up and down that road have very loud jack-brakes. Other people were using the property and had no idea who they were or that they would be there. We have two telephone numbers and were unclear which last four digits were used for lock box code, took some time to figure it out. Left the questionnaire provided by the owner with other suggestions to make a stay better ,,in our opinion. With the bed rooms upstairs and the bathroom downstairs some low level lighting on the steps that didn’t wake the whole house would be helpful and safer. Instructions on what to do in an emergency were not clear. Is it reasonable to expect everyone to have a cell-phone or should there be another plan for handling emergency's? A list of near by clinics and hospitals could save time in an emergency situation. What we should do during a tornado threat was not clear. But that being said these same contingencies exist at every short term rental and need to be considered by both the property owner and guest every time they rent a unit.
