About this apartment rental
If you want to enjoy every moment of sunshine in winter , then you have to choose CASA CHARLOTTE in NERJA ! It has now a ' WINTER SOLARIUM' where you can take sun baths, breakfast,lunches or dinners from sunrise to sunset in a with glass covered terrace and protected from wind and possible harsh weather!
CASA CHARLOTTE is In the historical centre of that lovely Nerja, at less than 300 meters from the beach and not more than 700 meters from the famous 'Balcon de Europa' .
CASA CHARLOTTE with its many flowers is a typical Andalucian house in a very typical Andalusian neighbourhood.
Guests wrote in the guestbook and in Rick Steves Graffiti as well: 'Casa Charlotte is a home away from home'
The owners Frans and Nuttee are multilingual and they are always around for any help you might need or question you might have.
The apartments are all a bit different the one from the other, but they have one thing in common:
Very good and large beds with mattresses thought for people with a sensitive back.
All the furniture has been hand made from solid timber.
The ground floor ( bottom floor or parterre apartment and for the Anglo Saxons the 1st floor) is equipped for wheelchair users as well. The doors are extra large and the bathroom has “Roll in shower”.
The apartment is spacious.
There is one bedroom, but in the living room there is a sleeping couch from 2 m x 1.60 m.

All apartments have WIfI and there is even WiFi on the sun terrace and in the “Winter solarium”.
Four parabolic antennas and 8 LNB are offering a vast range of TV and Radio channels in almost all European Languages.
It’s also possible, on request and against an extra, to have through IPTV all English channels including SKY SPORT and SKY MOVIES.( Some IPTV providers have also a few USA channels in there offer.)

A car is not needed: bakery and groceries at 20 meters distance, chemist, church,and many other shops and supermarkets at less than 150 meters.
In the street Calle San Pedro and in the surrounding street just original Andalusian people are living. If one greets greet you speak a little bit Spanish it's so easy to have a chat with them. Certainly all locals are very child friendly.
Nuttee is very helpful and has all the time for advising you: you are considered as a part of the family.
Frans, her retired husband, helps to welcome you and informs you about all nice places for having a good time.
Nerja is mostly described as the ' Pearl of the Costa del Sol' and attract in summer as well as in winter guests from all over the globe: not huge quantities, but rather quality guests looking for a quiet, original Andalusian town close to the beach and close to everything.
Nerja has a mild and not humid climate in winter and if you want to spoil yourself and your partner make it your next 'overwintering' place or come to enjoy the Carnival or let you impress with the Semana Santa, San Isidro feast on 15th of May,the San Juan feasts (June) or the Feria (October).
Nerja has many faces and once you have discovered 'this piece of Paradise' you will come again and again.
Nerja has even more : an average of 320 sunny days a year andday temperatures in winter from + 20 º C and more !!!

I stayed on the bottom floor suite, and the overall suite is very spacious. The beds are very comfortable. Actually more comfortable than my bed at home! Even the sofa bed is wonderful. Shower has great water pressure (an odd compliment, but nice to have good water pressure after experiencing other properties without it). The washroom is also very spacious and not cramped. Kitchen has everything you need, and lots of counter-top space. Outside drying rack is available for laundry and worked great. The heaters are very modern. Lots of TV stations available. I felt very safe staying here. Location is great, and the hosts are super helpful and friendly. Stop reading my review and book it now. :)

My wife and I spent a week at Casa Charlotte following a transatlantic cruise from the U.S. Our hosts, Franz and Nuttee were wonderful from our first email where they outlined our transportation options to the morning of our departure when they personally visited us to say goodbye. The apartment is great and has everything you could want including beach equipment and a rolling basket for the market. Wi fi was strong, there is a wonderful rooftop terrace. There is a bakery next door which is great for breakfast. The city is full of wonderful restaurants within walking distance. Public transportation is inexpensive and convenient. I couldn't imagine a better choice for a first visit to Nerja. It was especially nice of our hosts to walk us around the area and point out the sites on a local map and also to give us a bottle of champagne when they heard we were celebrating an anniversary. Our strongest recommendations for Casa Charlotte.

Casa Charlotte is not only in a terrific location for walking to many sights and the bus stop, it was well equipped with proper kitchen utensils, supplies, etc., and the bed was as comfy as ours at home!! To top all of this off is the above and beyond hospitality of Frans and Nuttee. We were met personally by them upon arrival, given a welcome drink and snacks and were filled in on all the best spot to see, including restuarants. Nerja is beautiful with a lot of nearby sights that are incredible to see and experience. The times we spent talking with Frans and Nuttee were icing on the cake to a wonderful vacation.
