About this house rental
Enjoy a leisurely walk to the town of Boonville for morning coffee or lunch at the Mosswood Café or The General Store from the charming Tolman House located approx. 1/2mile south of town on Highway 128. Also walkable, or a short drive, is sushi at SOBO, casual dining at The Distillery, Off Spring or the upscale Boonville Hotel.
The Tolman House was built in the late 1800's. The 3 -bedroom, 2-bath house boasts a large lot with a lawn and picnic/barbeque area and completely fenced outdoor space. It is dog friendly (max 2dogs). There is one king bed, one queen bed, one double bed, central heating and air, a full kitchen with a dining nook, living room and a sunny banquette seating area. One bathroom is new and modern, with a shower, while the other is original, with a claw foot bathtub, located off the main bedroom. The house is the perfect size for two or three couples or a family. It sleeps 6 people.
The Tolman House is superbly located as a base for exploring Anderson Valley and the Mendocino Coast. It is within 300 ft. of 2 wine tasting rooms and Pennyroyal goat cheese farm/tasting and 1/2 mile from dining, shopping, and a microbrewery. In 15 minutes you can be hiking among the redwoods in Hendy Woods State Park. Drive 30 minutes to the Navarro beach or 50 minutes to the picturesque village of Mendocino. Another 15 minutes and you can be at Ft. Bragg--catching The Skunk Train or looking for treasures at Glass Beach. You can also just relax at the picnic table and gaze at the hills of Anderson Valley and the Pinot Noir grapevines that surround you.
**The Tolman House is only available for rent to Foursight Wines club members during the annual Anderson Valley Pinot Noir Festival, usually held in June.

What a wonderful gem! We headed to Boonville for a quiet Fourth. The Tolman House had everything we needed: 3 generously sized rooms, two bathrooms (absolute necessity with teenagers!), huge yard for our dog to explore. The kitchen was equipped with everything we possibly needed for the weekend. The weather was excellent so we ate most meals at the picnic table outside. It was fun to watch the neighboring sheep graze and play with each other on the other side of the fence while we had our meals. We visited Foursights Winery "next" door and the beautiful lavender field. Definitely do not miss this treat! Joe and Kristy were so much fun to talk with. The Sauvignon Blanc is absolutely delicious! Pennyroyal Farms offers a great tour with the opportunity to pet the goats. The cheeses produced onsite were tasty. It was a great holiday weekend. We look forward to visiting Boonville and staying at Nancy and Bill's Tolman House again!

Owners are excellent communicators.Property is excellent location for Anderson Valley.Beds are extremely comfortable as well as bedding.Sitting outside in evening is wonderful.Remember to enjoy a tasting at Foursight Winery. Very lovely wines.

Cozy house with full kitchen and lovely art filled eating room. Sheep occasionally cross by the window from the yard next door. Plugs next to beds are very inconvenient but everything else seemed well thought out for guests. We walked to wine tasting and grocery store. We would stay again and maybe bring our dogs next time although small dogs can squeeze through fencing if motivated.
