About this apartment rental
This beautiful, spacious condo boasts 2 master bedrooms with full bathrooms (1 with a tub, 1 with a walk in shower). The bedroom floors have porcelain plank tiles.
The living room has wall to wall, floor to ceiling windows and it has a sliding glass door opening onto a full-length balcony. The master bedroom has floor to ceiling, wall to wall, windows with a breathtaking, un-obstructed view of the Gulf of Mexico. This unit is the largest 2 bedroom model in the complex. It has a full kitchen, 2 master bedrooms, a dining table, hide a bed for 2 to sleep on, a washer/dryer, linens and towels.
The full-size balcony directly looks out over the Gulf of Mexico, a perfect place for coffee in the morning and wine at night while relaxing and listening to the waves. The condo is in walking distance of many restaurants and shops, making it easy to go out and not have to drive around. The Hangout is next door to the condo.
There is a $50 parking fee that guests will need to pay to get their parking pass (everywhere in Gulf Shores has this fee). Please send me your email address and phone number for me to have the request form sent to you. We are not responsible for vehicles parked at the condo. If you want to come before check in time and hang out at the pool or beach that is fine. I will let you know if the condo is ready early. If you want to hang out longer at the beach or pool the day you leave that's fine too.

The room worked great for our family. Island Winds has one of the best locations in GS. It is so convenient. Great view of the beach and access is so easy. We visited in early may so ocean temps were a little cold but the pool was nice and warm. Communication with Kathryn was very clear and she responded to questions promptly.

We absolutely love this unit and working with Kathryn. This is our second stay in this property and it never disappoints. Clean and close to everything and so kind in communication. The unit has everything needed and more... especially for the beach! Short (really short) walk to volleyball courts and restaurants. But not in the loud or crowded part of the beach. Thank you for an amazing stay. We can't wait to be back.

Our stay in Gulf Shores was awesome and this condo was absolutely fantastic. We cannot wait to visit again and enjoy this little gem! The condo had ALL the amenities we needed and more! Great views with immediate access to the beach! Our host, Kathryn, was attentive and great at communicating with us. Definitely recommend!

First of all, we never received the code for the front door. We had to reach out to the owner to get the code when we were in the parking lot of the condo. Secondly, the pictures online looked amazing. The actual property is a very dated, older condo. The ceilings are super low, popcorn, with big black spots poking through the paint. The king bed is in the guest room and there is a smaller bed in the master where the view is best. Finally, the cleanliness was awful. There were spills in the freezer and fridge. The oven was filthy. There was sand all over the floors. There was dog hair on the sheets. The coffee table had dust all over the bottom shelf. I dropped a cap to a bottle and moved the bedside table, there were dirty toothpicks underneath the table. There is a big mop bucket with dirty mop behind a bedside table in the guest room. There was mold and mildew in the tubs, especially in and around the faucets and hot and cold water adjusters. The coffee pot was filthy too. In my opinion, this condo needs a remodel and a DEEP clean. I didn't even want to shower there. The positives were that I had what I needed to cook-decent pots and pans and the beach was very close. I can get over the older building, but not the failure to properly clean the unit between users.
