Pickleball anyone? We have a pool and an old rustic Pickleball/Tennis Court on site.

Located on the North Shore of Oahu, in the charming community of Mokuleia, 10 minutes west of Historic Haleiwa town, this is a one-of-a-kind Hawaiian experience. Directly above where they filmed episodes of the hit TV show "LOST," this home is very secluded & has amazing views.

Perched on 60 private acres and surrounded by thousands of acres of State and private ranch lands with no neighbors for miles. One-of-a-kind ocean views from Kaena Point to Sunset Beach. The house is located in the middle of the ranch that goes from the mountaintop to the ocean, called an au'pua'a, about 1000 yards directly above one of Hawaii's best-kept secret beaches, with miles and miles of sandy coastline.

The ranch has a variety of excellent restaurants nearby and is great for all water sports, including snorkeling, scuba diving, surfing, windsurfing, and kayaking. There is also glider flying, skydiving, and private plane tours at the nearby Dillingham Airfield.

Other favorite activities include; private horseback rides on the ranch at the ranch stables located 400 yards from the house, beach rides from the beach stables, walks on the beach, fishing, skydiving, tennis, biking or hiking around the Western “Kaena Point” end of the North Shore.

The house has a private ocean view pool with a large grass yard.

Notable visitors to the surrounding ranch property included Noel Coward, who authored “A Room with a View” while sitting on the lanai of the lodge, Prince Hussein of Jordan, the Marquis of Waterford, Eva Gabor & Ginger Baker.

Additionally, Prince Charles, Major Ronald Ferguson, General George S. Patton and various international stars, among others, have competed on the polo field below. The polo grounds are considered the birthplace of Hawaiian polo, which was especially popular in the late 1800's.

3,000 sq. ft. of interior space, 2 large ocean view decks, original restored old Pine Wood floors, granite counters, stainless appliances, 2 ocean view master suites with private bathrooms, 2 guest rooms with hall way shared bathroom.

Bedrooms include:

King Kamehameha Suite - Large master with Ocean and pool Views, a separate sitting room with rattan couch and chairs, Mango Wood frame with California King with memory foam pillow top bed, in suite bathroom, shower, walk in closet and large private deck.

Queen Lilioukalani Suite - This guest master has great ocean views, Cherry wood queen bed with memory foam, en- suite private bathroom and walk in closet.

Queen Emma Room - The garden view room has a Cherry wood queen bed with memory foam and a private deck.

Princes Kaiulani Room - The 4th room or kid’s room has two twin beds

We also have a full size "Wood Punei" in the living room and a queen size blow up bed in the closet for that late night guest that cant drive home.

All room beds have Hawaiian print comforters, 400-600 thread count cotton linens and soft pillows. The house is decorated with Hawaiian prints and classic portraits, teak furniture, 8 seat dinning room table, tall bar stools and sliding windows across the whole oceanfront.

This home does not have air conditioning. Daily cooling tropical trade winds off the ocean and the 200ft above sea level location put you in a mild an nice climate that can range from 70-80 degrees during the day and 55-70 degrees at night. We have ceiling fans throughout the house. At night the cold air from the mountain top collapses and falls (called convection) and creates a cool breeze so you can sleep like a baby.

We have wireless 3G/4G Internet access via an AT&T HOT SPOT that allows 10 computers to go online at once for your computer use. Maximum use is 10GB of data for every 7 days which is more than enough for normal emails, browsing and basic up & downloads. If you need more GB, it is available for your use at market rates. We offer Direct TV on one 55' flat screen in the living room & a 27' flat screen in the master bedroom.

Seasonal horse Polo matches at Mokuleia Polo field located right on the beach below the property. Great fun for the whole family and you can go for a swim in the refreshing Pacific Ocean during half time!

Enjoy your vacation with total peace and quiet at the LOST Ranch.

We've just gotten back from our stay at the Lost Ranch and we loved every minute of it. The house was larger than we expected and the grounds were fantastic for our three boys to explore. There are fruit trees, peacocks, horses and more surrounding the property, it was really just perfect for us. It has a well appointed kitchen, extra beach towels, washing soap, just about everything you need. There's walking tracks nearby and great beaches to explore. We already want to book our next stay.

This house has everything you will need, from beach umbrella, chairs, boogie boards, games, tennis and pickle ball equipment! We enjoyed fresh limes , a few lemons and discovered an avocado tree out last day! Our friends and family enjoyed every minute! We highly recommend this host and property! We just stayed here for 8 days with our family (my spouse & 2 young kids), my father in law, and sister in law and her spouse and 2 teenagers. Overall we had a great experience but there were definitely some things that could have been better. Pros: - The property & view are awesome! It is definitely rustic and remote but that is what we loved. - All the wildlife was super cool (pigs, peacocks, geckos) - Pool was clean and a great alternative when we didn't want to drive to the beach - The sports court was fun (though it needs to be re-paved) and there were lots of beach toys for the kids - Loved the fresh fruit on the trees on the property - House size and layout was perfect for our family (9 people total) Cons: - The house could have been cleaner. It just seemed like no one was up there for a long time. The window sills were dirty, the tile grout in the bathrooms were discolored, etc. Nothing major, just the little things. - Lots of bugs inside the house! When we arrived there was a ton of ants all over the kitchen. We found ant spray but since we had little kids didn't want to spray poison all over. Wish there were traps available. We also had a bunch of cockroaches - some pretty big. - Amenities in the house were not well stocked. We ran out of paper towels and dishwasher detergent and were told we had to buy more if we needed it. Most properties I have rented have these things well stocked when you arrive. There also were no back-up sheets for the beds. When traveling with a toddler, this was concerning. - The pack n play was in bad condition. The "mattress" didn't lay flat and had a big seam in it. I'm sure it was uncomfortable for my baby. I wish they had a mattress insert. Also, the sheet that was available wasn't the right size so didn't fit tightly to the mattress. - The house gets HOT during the day. Like others have said, it does cool down (somewhat) at night, but our kids had to nap during the day and it was easily 80 degrees inside. Wish there was AC or at least window coverings to block the sun and keep the heat out. Especially since the host asks you to close all the windows when you leave the house. We were gone most of the day so when we returned, the house was uncomfortable. Overall we had a good stay and really did love the property and location; we just felt it could be better managed.
