About this house rental
PROSPECTIVE GUESTS: For your safety, all housekeepers have been trained in the SAFEHOME Vacation Rental Management Association Cleaning Guidelines for COVID-19. Also, there is a large bottle of alcohol based hand sanitizer in the kitchen.
This is a 4 bedroom home set up as three bedrooms and a den. It is a 2 bath vacation pool home that was the actual model three bedroom home for this community. It has $20,000 worth of upgrades, custom decorating, custom furniture and custom built- in cabinets in every room. It sleeps six and is perfect for a couple or family. Lake Berkley is an upscale community that is well maintained, quiet and secure.
The pool is also custom with a spa area that was a Jacuzzi until underground leaking pipes made us shut it off leaving a very nice location to sit and relax in the pool. Pool heat available in winter (at additional cost of $25/night). Our other favorite spot is sitting in the lanai and looking out over the large pond and conservation area that backs up to the home. This was a model home and is in an open, very desirable location. The pool is VERY private! One neighbor has a high hedge, the other has a pool privacy screen. Out back is a scenic conservation area. Pool furniture all new 9/2019. Home exterior and pool deck painted 10/2020. Interior painted 4/2021.
The home is fully equipped with linens and towels, ready for your vacation pleasure. The owners stay here. We are twenty minutes from Disney, all the attractions, shopping, golf and dining.
You can even walk to a Super Wal-Mart! The upscale gated community is very well maintained and has a club house with exercise equipment, a separate large lake with a gazebo, child's play area, barbecue area and fishing in any of the three lakes here (catch and release). You are steps from a tennis court and half-court basketball court. The home has high speed 100 MB Internet, Wi-Fi, free telephone calling to all of US and Canada, HD TV and a large flat screen TV in the great room.

The only disappointing thing was that the management company hadn’t prepared the villa for our arrival. I understand that due to the hurricane the week before we arrived the pool furniture was moved into the lounge but should have been put back outside and there was dirty washing in the machine.

We arrived to a Torro ant station, tipped up on its end, on the sink in the master bathroom. We reached out to the owners about it and we were given a partial return of one nights rate. I dropped my wedding ring and it went under one of the couches. It became clear that the floors under the couches hadn't been cleaned in some time. There were several dried up macaroni noodles and a pair of sunglasses under them. The sliding door was missing a blind and the door itself was hard to open and close. There was also a blind broken and missing in the master bedroom sliding door. The beds were ok, but if you like firmer pillows, bring your own. We did have to call the management company for a broken shower valve handle. They were very attentive and took care of it the next morning. The neighborhood itself is fairly nice and gated, but there are a bunch of homeless folks a mile or so away, out on the main road. The pool was nice and fairly private. This is our third trip to the area in three years and our third time renting a house. So far, this one is at the bottom of our list.
