Welcome to Fall season at Casa Bella...
Enjoy the quiet time of year in Twain Harte, free from the summer crowds, with sunny afternoons and cool evenings.
During the day, enjoy sunning on the deck, golf at our local golf course, a hike, or just perfect the Art of Doing Nothing.
In the evening, stroll downtown for a leisurely meal, you are within walking distance of all of Twain Harte's restaurants. Or...
Have a barbecue on the deck or cook dinner in our well equipped kitchen. The granite counter was made for happy hours.

Later on, have a glass of wine by the fire, read a book, play a board game, or pop some popcorn then curl up and watch a movie.

Casa Bella has many charms, original art work, leaded glass windows, rustic fir floors, and a French armoire. Recent renovations have given this stylish mountain retreat a fresh look. The great room features a convenient gas fireplace, large, comfy leather chairs and a big couch for reading, lazing, or watching TV. There is also a futon which opens into a full bed. The bedrooms each have a queen bed with down comforters. The first bedroom has a peaked pine ceiling, antique, leaded glass windows, and a French armoire. The second bedroom has a full bookshelf and a connected half bath.

In winter, Dodge Ridge is 20 miles up the highway, where you can spend the days skiing and snowboarding, or go to Leland High Sierra Snowplay in Strawberry, for sledding and tubing.

Make a day trip (just over 2 hours) to visit world famous Half Dome, one of many splendors in Yosemite National Park.
Also, visit the many nearby wineries, bistros, art galleries, and boutiques. Sonora is 15 minutes away, Murphys is 45.
After your travels you will look forward to returning to the pine forests of Twain Harte and the quiet comfort of Casa Bella.

Twain Harte, a small resort town in California's Gold Country, is in the High Sierra, elevation 3700 ft, one half hour from Dodge Ridge Ski and Snowboard Resort.
Under the Twain Harte arch you will find a charming downtown.
Twain Harte also offers golf, tennis, a private lake, miniature golf, and a skateboard park. (Twain Harte is located 16 miles east of the historic gold mining town of Columbia, and 12 miles east of the town of Sonora.)

Property was well equipped cabin very close to local town, adequate space for couple with 2 bathrooms and comfortable bed. Good set of requirements for tasks needed to properly secure cabin upon departure.

We did ask for an early check in, but found the property needed cleaning. I had to mop the floors twice before the mop came away clean. The white towels and face cloths had stains on them. There was grease dribbling down the wall behind the stove due to the vent filter not being cleaned. We wondered if the rugs had been vacuumed. It was disappointing. It would do to not rent the place for a few weeks and scrub it from top to bottom.

True to reservation description, well stocked kitchen and other items. Great wifi. Tight for two cars to park but we managed. Convenient location and great area to walk around. Deck needs some TLC but totally usable. Would definitely reserve again if in area.

This cabin does not have the newest appliances, but that is not what we were looking for! Our family of young kids had great restaurants, mini golf, parks, stores and coffee shops within walking distance from the front door. Plus easy access to the surrounding areas of great lakes, hiking and fishing sloughs. Add on the great Twain Harte lake experience and this is the perfect mountain cabin! Perfect trip for our family!

We instantly fell in love with Casa Bella. It was warm and cozy when we came back from a day in the snow, super close to local restaurants, and perfect for our family of 4. Our kids loved the games, and we loved all of the homey touches. Natalie thought of everything and we will definitely be back. Location - easy to get to Leland Snow Park, Pinecrest Lake, and Dodge Ridge.

We enjoyed our stay at Case Bella, I'd rate it 3.5 stars I was able to do halves! the good: - great location, can walk to town - very peaceful area - vintage kitchen suprisingly functional - VHS tapes! the not so good: - cabin was reasonably clean, but there were candy wrappers & dust bunnies under the chairs on the rug - no window covers in the back bedroom, beds not very comfortable - stocked items in the kitchen (salts etc) were empty / had bugs - we caught a great snow weekend (over a foot across 2 nights) but there was nothing to shovel or move the snow off the steps for safety

This cabin in Twain Harte is walking distance to the town, a short drive from family friendly hikes like the Ditch Trail, and lovely. Well stocked with books and games, the kids played monopoly, the adults enjoyed porch time with great sun shade ratio and an ice cold beer. The sleeping arrangements were perfect for a family of three and a family of two (adult and kid). There was a fold out cushion perfect for a kids bed. The living room/dining room is generous and warm feelings with beautiful star lights. Natalie was a fantastic host, very responsive and flexibly when we had to change our original winter stay (due to illness) to a summer stay! We hope to visit this lovely cabin again and hope you will as well!

Second year in a row staying here. Been renting every summer at Twain Harte for about 25 years and since the kids and grandkids no longer gather with us, it’s become the perfect cabin for a downsized family (2 BR and 1.5 BA).

This property was clean and homey. Well prepped for visitors with labels indicating where beach chairs and outdoor cushions were. The renter book was clear and so helpful. Our almost 2yo settled in almost immediately and was so sad to leave. The listing noted a lot of driveway parking which we didn't find to be true but that is the only negative note I have about this property. The quick walk to town (and without major hills) was a game changer.

Well appointed home with all you need to have good visit. Colorful cushions and decorations gave it an updated feeling. Kitchen very well stocked with appliances including a dishwasher plus good quality cookware and ample dishes etc. Big dining table and comfortable living room furniture. Deck with lots of seating and beautiful grill. Enjoying checking out the many books. We used the lake tickets for swimming as it was a very hot weekend. The AC saved us when we got back.

What a great cabin! We were very pleased overall with our experience and this quaint, woodsy cabin. Everything was as described in the listing. On arrival the furnace was on and the cabin was clean, cozy, and well appointed! There was tons of space to stretch out and plenty of blankets to curl up in comfortably. The decor was fun and stylish and not cookie cutter cabin-esk. The large dining table was great for us all to gather around with plenty of wiggle room for all our meals and board games galore. We stayed here and skied at Dodge Ridge, which was an easy 30 minute drive up the cute mountain road. I would recommend this property without hesitation and would book here again for sure. Great cabin - we really enjoyed our stay. We arrived late friday night, it was dark and cold, our two small kids were tired - the cabin lights were on which made it feel cosy and welcoming! the heaters were on in every room which made settling in so comfortable and made our first night so much easier, we really appreciated that warm welcome! love to return soon x

Casa bella was a great little spot to stay for our quick trip to Twain Harte. It's close to town and was an easy walk to pick up coffee and breakfast sandwiches at Local Press! The TV is brand new, the gas fireplace/heater was lovely, and the beds were comfortable.

This was a great cabin & cozy for my solo trip to Twain Harte this year. It's also especially important that it has Lake Membership. It was nice to have A/C in TH & also many fans if needed. The deck was great for morning coffee with a view of pines & cedars & also perfect for dinner with cute patio lights. The table inside is big enough for working jigsaw puzzles and room to eat at as well! Both bedrooms do not have window coverings. You can't see in either bedroom from the outside but if you are not an early riser you will be awakened at sunrise from the light streaming into the bedroom windows. It's perfectly located for taking walks and especially the easy walk to town. Natalie was very helpful and responsive. It was a peaceful 10 days!
