About this cabin rental

This cabin has been in our family since 1983. We have since renovated, but have kept the same cabin in the woods charm. Nestled on a level, tree-studded lot, this 3-bedroom home features beautiful log woodwork creating a classic cabin feel and a wrap around deck. Situated in heart of Twain Harte, you'll be in walking distance of town and the lake, but on a quiet street. The cabin is ideal for larger families, its 2 bedrooms and loft sleeping 10 with, 1 queen, 3 double beds, as well as 3 single beds. The living room, kitchen, main bathroom, and upstairs bedrooms have been recently remodeled. The space offers Cable TV, DVDs, a Smart TV and Wifi, as well as plenty of board games and a ping pong table.

Guests can enjoy our huge, beautiful new deck under the trees, perfect for lounging and entertaining with plenty of seating, umbrellas, string lights, both gas and charcoal BBQ, fire table and a ping pong table.

We are Twain Harte Lake members, our guests have privileges to buy daily tickets. We provide beach chairs, and some rafts. A relaxing round at Twain Harte Golf Course is just a 1/4 mile away (and mini golf is just down the road if that's more your speed!).

Rentals are three day minimum, a week minimum in the summer, with occasional exceptions in later summer. Ask us about pets - fee applies if approved.

This was our second stay here and everything was great. The location within easy walking distance of downtown Twain Harte was great, and we enjoyed hanging out on the spacious deck. It's a nice house and it comfortably accommodated our group of 7.

The house was great, it had everything we needed. The owners were even nice enough to shift our check-in and check out dates so that we could attend a family funeral. We had a blast at the lake, thank you for sharing your lake floats! I feel like cleaning between guest was rushed. We had dirty socks under our bed, and the sheets left were the incorrect size. Both of these things were not the end of the world and were easily rectified. The cabin does needs a deep clean.

The property was excellent. Very clean and comfortable. Fit all of us (6 adults, 4 children) perfectly. Not only was the home remodeled with nice appliances but it was also fully stocked with everything you might need. The owner was very responsive if I had any questions. We had a very nice stay with seven of us staying very comfortably. The house is in a great location within walking distance of the town of Twain Harte and a nice park, and a very short drive to the lake and the tennis/pickleball courts. The house was well stocked and arrival went very smoothly with the check in instructions.

We stayed here for 5 nights for a long ski weekend and it was the perfect cozy cabin for us! Easy access to Dodge Ridge in 30 minutes, Sonora in only 15 minutes, and a 5 minute walk into Twain Harte. We enjoyed the indoor fireplace, watching movies, and making dinner in the updated kitchen. Dan was a great host and easy to get in touch with as needed. Will definitely stay here again!

Close to lake and nice walk to town. Kitchen and front bath are nicely appointed and relatively new. Lots of cookware, utensils, serving ware in the kitchen! Lovely deck with plenty of space for eating outdoors. Living room and house decor are "old Twain Harte" lodge style - cozy and reminded me of the vacations I took in TH as a child and teen. Only negative is that both bathrooms are downstairs and the back shower is very small. Inconvenient for those staying upstairs. We had a very wonderful family weekend - all the kids and grandkids, 8 of us in all.

Our family has been coming to Twain Harte for over 50 years and this was one of favorite stays. The cabin is spacious, comfortable and well equipped. The kitchen had everything we needed for family dinners along with a charcoal and gas grill. We spent most of our time outside on the spacious deck. We enjoyed the games and ping pong table. We are looking forward to coming back again on the future.

The location simply can’t be beat. Easily walk to town for coffee or meals but far enough to feel like you're in the woods. The home is very cozy yet spacious, and we loved the large deck. The kitchen is fully stocked and the beds were all comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

It was our first time going to a cabin right after Christmas, and I have to say that this Cabin was comfortable for our party of 8. We just feel like we would like to stay up higher so next time we won't have to drive up to the snow. Overall, a nice cabin with all the essentials needed.

My daughters and I had a great time at this cabin. It is tastefully renovated but retained the cabin charm that I was hoping for. The location is great since it is walking distance to town, and very close to Twain Harte lake. I would highly recommend it.

Great property to rent, clean and spacious! We rented it for our family of 4 but it could easily fit 6-7 more ppl. Love that it’s walking distance to downtown and only a short drive to the lake. We took advantage of the outdoor space/deck area and bbq’d each night. We enjoyed our adult beverages while relaxing on the outdoor furniture and fireplace. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

The property was great for us. However, it would have been nice to have a bathroom on 2nd floor with the upstairs bedrooms. We worked it out -having 2 bathrooms was the main priority. The location was fantastic. We were able to walk to restaurants, mini golf, etc. with 6 year old granddaughter. Not too long of a drive to get to the snow park. We had a great time and would love to visit in the summer.

Crazy snow storm

We reserve this property months ago to stay after Christmas through the new year. Due to an Incredibles snowstorm we were barely able to get to the property which had no electricity. Dan the cabinet owner was so gracious and helpful in helping us find a hotel and communicating about the current condition. Unfortunately the electricity was not regained and we were never able to stay at the cabin. We were given a full refund and hopefully we can come back sometime in the future!!

The cabin was very nicely remodeled and had a great fireplace. There was plenty of space for our group. Nice kitchen, we had everything we needed to cook breakfast, lunch and dinners. It started snowing on Christmas Eve and kept snowing through till the 26th. We had to dig the cars out and load up to get out before another snow event.

This cabin was very comfortable. It was very well stocked, especially in the kitchen. I think the only thing I couldn't find was a coffee scoop. The mattress in the master bedroom was very comfortable. The remodeled bathroom was lovely. I really liked the baskets for storing each individuals toiletries. My most favorite spot was the green rocker on the deck. Very peaceful place to sit and enjoy nature.
