The staff I'm referring to is Dorothy the housekeeper who went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Unfortunately the owner's son decided to cancel, the same day we were due to book in, after a 10-hour flight from London, we arrived to find no one to check us in, thank goodness for the security guard who called another housekeeper who realised that the apartment being prepared was for us, it wasn't until the following morning that we received the email telling us that our booking had been cancelled. Where on earth were we supposed to go at 23:00 at night? And our refund wasn't coming back until 4 to 7 days. We anticipated the arrival of the owner's son, as he was flying in from New York, to occupy the same apartment that he had booked for us. He basically demanded that we show him proof of our payment, that had left my husband's account 20 days previous , He refused to acknowledge my questions. He was aggressive, rude disrespectful. I couldn't believe that we were being treated this way. In all my years of staying at Sand castles, this was the first time I have ever been treated this way. My husband showed him the payment taken from his account and I assured him that there would be no way we would be leaving if he didn't refund our money to do so. He returned shortly after with an apology but the damage was already done. The owner, his mother called and spoke to us via the housekeeper, she felt so ashamed and embarrassed about his behaviour. Such a pity it's a lovely apartment, lovely big bed in the main bedroom and two single beds in the living room. Small kitchen and bathroom. But my favourite thing with Sandcastles is its location right on the main road, and right on the beach. I would have definitely stayed at this apartment again but I cannot be sure he won't cancel us at the last minute, leaving us stranded with no communication. No wi-fi after a long flight from the UK.

I stay at Sandcastles often and my experiences are always great. I will definitely be booking this apartment again. The restaurant food is also great. I will be telling my children to stay there with their kids

So far I have not found anything that I was not happy with.

I did not partake in breakfast. Wasn't aware that breakfast was offered. I think the receptionist should inform / reiterate to guests that breakfast is available whether paid or complimentary. I loved the location and the 24hr security.

The apartment was adequate it would have been nice to have a more stable WiFi. We had a few challenges with clogged bath drains, and hot water goin out however because of our short stay we didn't make a fuss. However, Ms Dorothy came to check on us and she was able to fix the drain on the spot.
