Hany apartment Ducado 7-C

Overall the apartment meets the expectations, and if very good given the price (BTW, a rating of 8 on Booking literally means "very good"). The hosts very very proactive and friendly, spoke good English, explained all nuances in details, reacted very fast to requests (e.g., we noticed a leaking hose in the bathroom and the hosts fixed it temporarily immediately, then a plumber came within 36h). there is enough sleeping space for 4, kitchen is equipped, the fridge works (the freezer works very well - excellent for rapid cooling and storing ice-cream), AC works and the ceiling fans are a big game changer in keeping all cool. The bathroom is of sufficient size, all works, and is clean. There is parking in the building's courtyard (secured by a door) - it can get fully packed after 7pm, but during the day one can easily find 2-4 available spaces (we were able to go sightseeing from 10am to 6pm). The beach can be seen from the windows and accessible by foot in 3 minutes. There is a grocery shop literally in the same building (next to the main entrance - a Carrefour). Lots of restaurants and bars and disco places all around. The hosts are also correct - they are aware of the ripped couch and will tell you that there is not issue to worry about. Location is perfect for late night party people, who enjoy music blasting until way past midnight and drunks shouting in the street below (windows and door insulation is symbolic). :-)

A repairman tried to fix it, but while we stayed in the fridge was showing signs of its age: besides no lights, it exceled at training our hand-foot coordination - to fully close its door one needs to lift the door with both hands and push it in, plus kick it gently but firmly to properly close. The AC has a meter - you can insert coins to buy hours of operation - to be fair, the hosts gave us plenty of credit which was enough for our stay. However, set to max cooling (16C and full fan) the AC cools a bit below expectations. Our fix was to combine AC and ceiling fan to actively move then air to get results. The AC unit is from 2012 (a bit old) and the external unit didn't look like it was cleaned in the last year(s) - likely leading to a significant drop in performance. Again, the location is great for party people - but if you come with kids who need to sleep after 10pm (ok, let's be honest - 11pm) - then you are out of luck. There is music blasting from all (5) open bars behind the building (and the door has poor insulation) which you will hear way past midnight (1:30am it still goes on) - one place you will see it aptly called "Insomnia" :-). We learned the latest hits that are popular with the British tourists - and the area of the apartment feels like Little Britain in Benidorm. Add to this drunks making noise on the streets (with windows again not excelling at insulation), and you better brace for staying up long hours or simply falling asleep no matter what. There is also the drying rack fun situation - it's literally a set of wires running along the inner wall of the building, with a small risk of having your clothes falling down from the height of the 7th floor. There are no drying clips supplied. But then again, we did not lose anything during our stay (opted to dry only large enough stuff). The last point is a remark, not a complaint - the bed sheets are off-white (different from the intense white we see in hotels).

We loved the apartment! It's in a great location, very clean and Hany was exceptionally friendly, keeping us up to date with check in information etc. Beautiful views and very modernised. Would definitely stay here again. 100% worth the money!

The apartment is clean and modern with a kitchenette with large fridge, kettle, coffee machine and washing machine. It has a large sofa and a table and chairs and sofa bed behind sliding doors. Good storage space. Hot shower and hot water. Location is ideal for the Strip, restaurants and the beach.

We found the bed mattress to very uncomfortable, very hard to sleep on but there is a small sofa bed or the sofa itself. Though we have stayed in a similar apartment before, we forgot just how loud it can be and this seemed to be turned up to 11 on Friday. Good earplugs are necessary but this is Benidorm and the price is good.
