Jill is an amazing host and Chart House is a very clean, quiet and comfortable place to stay. The comfort was especially obvious since we were there during the heat wave . Thanks to a big, quiet garden and lots of windows, I really appreciated being able to cool off and sleep in a nice, cool room after work.

Very professional hostess. Very organised and accommodating for guests. Breakfast was a good selection of cold foods, toast etc. a cooked breakfast was available. The garden and animals were an extra interest. The location ideal for those with or without a car. Also, the fridge was a great addition to the single room I was in. Ideal for couples or individual travellers, very good for single women travellers.
There wasn’t anything negative for me to comment on.

Great location close to the town, yet quiet and peaceful. Beautiful garden.
Breakfast was depressing, including the coffee. I’ve never seen a continental breakfast consisting of one type of bread that falls apart in your hands, five types of jam that all taste the same, just vary in color and a “I can’t believe it’s not butter”. Hand towel in the shared bathroom for all the guests wasn’t changed the whole weekend and the same for shower mat. Lots of cobwebs. Bad smell throughout, I’m guessing it’s coming from the old wallpapers.
