The castle is beautiful, la Poterne cute and comfortable except for the fact that is extremely hot. The bed is very comfy

Exceptional quality and ambience, beautifully finished with unique character. Peaceful and well equipped.
Parking a bit awkward - narrow access. It would have been better to be able to park in the courtyard

Beautiful chateau and very large, comfortable room and furnishings. The village is charming and it’s a unique place to stay.
Sheets were a little dirty, there was no convenient way to change or deal with issues. Everything was conducted via email, no one to greet us when we arrived.

The Ground floor room was beautiful. The ceilings were gorgeous.

fancy French not like ordinary hotel room. lots of space and feel of this area. excellent view, kitchen equipped enough for easy breakfast. near Barbizon. Water is hot, cozy and warm room in January almost 4C outside when we were here. lots of paintings in the room.

The room and the location
The redundant multiple emails and the noisy pigeons at the windows

We stayed in the Écurie apartment of the North side of the Chateau. The apartment was exceptionally well-equipped and the lodgings very comfortable. The hosts made a baby-bed available to us during our stay. It was quiet and we enjoyed our stay.
A lot of the communications happen by email (check in, key collection, check out, ordering breakfast if wanted, rubbish disposal). It's important to read everything to know how to access the apartment and to make the most out of your stay.

Wonderful romantic location, beautiful garden and very quiet and peaceful. Highly recommend it.
I received a lot of emails after booking, which was a bit confusing. It was also not entirely clear who my contact was while we were there, but it all turned out and we were assisted perfectly.

Quiet place and modernized to the current way of living.
All was comfy and good.
Parking the car outside the gate
behind a hedge did not feel good to leave the car there.
But the village is very quiet so most likely nothing will happen there.

I give us, as clients, 2 points (of 10)! We were definitely the problem, challenged finding the location...because we couldn't believe this Château complex was to be our home! And Because our own old fashioned home appliances still function with knobs, making the modern touch-powered oven, dishwasher and stove top, a challenge. Pierre d'Histoire receives a 10 for putting up with us,
