Renovated Oceanfront Cottage | Views of the Atlantic from Every Room

Fantastic location! The public access right next to the house made getting to the beach super convenient. The kitchen is very well stocked. In general, the house seems to have everything you need. My daughters were having trouble reaching the high sink in the bathroom; I took a peek in the cabinet under the sink, and there was a stool right there. Perfect! There were so many instances of me hoping something would be in the house and then quickly finding whatever I needed after a brief search. The shades in the bedrooms do a great job of keeping the sun out, not blackout, but close enough that I didn’t feel the need to use our slumber pod or put anything up to make the room darker for my toddler and preschooler. The outdoor foot rinse station and outdoor shower both keep indoor sand at a minimum; plus the upstairs indoor showers have handheld shower heads which made bathing my children much easier. The house was very clean when we arrived. It is tastefully decorated and feels modern, but also has a very welcoming and restful feel. Betsy, the host, is a great communicator. She even reminded us to bring our sheets and towels as they are not included in the booking. The only downside of the trip was an issue with loud, explicit music being played and people yelling past 10pm one of the nights even after I asked them to keep it down. They left the next day, so thankfully it wasn’t a huge deal. Overall it was a wonderful trip and a great house with a lovely host.

This is a home for lasting beach memories. Our family (9 of us) spent a languishing week at Holden Beach living in comfort and convenience here. The entire process was seamless, the accommodations were spectacular, and the entire experience was flawless. Couldn’t believe how well stocked the kitchen was. Beds were super comfy and the bathrooms were updated. The outdoor seating was perfect for morning coffee or afternoon/evening lounging. The hosts were immediately responsive with questions throughout the entire process. We will definitely be back.

Clean, great location, amazing views!

It was more like a “beach home.“ It was very nicely appointed and offered tons of amenities not commonly found in your typical rental property. It was obvious that the owners spared little expense when installing high-quality materials in what appears to be a newly renovated interior and new deck. As a result, this is easily the nicest property I’ve rented over 25 years of vacationing on the North Carolina coast. Excellent location and conveniently located close enough to local businesses that “trips to the store“ never took more than 10 minutes. The quality of the beach at this oceanfront property was outstanding. The owner, Betsy, was very courteous and communicative, which was refreshing - I’ve had very good luck on Holden Beach when it comes to that when compared to other locations like Wrightsville Beach and OBX, so I was pleasantly surprised by that experience. All of that said, I will certainly rent this property again, and likely do it around this time of year (October), as I intend to make an autumn vacation an annual tradition for myself, family, and friends.
