About this house rental
Enjoy the best of beautiful Ouray and the surrounding wilderness at our vacation house that is within Ouray city limits but sits on a forested lot overlooking the Uncompahgre River. The river, and the river trail, can be accessed at the end of our driveway. The Ouray hot springs pool is a 15 minute walk from our house along the river trail. Our dining room looks out on Gold Hill where snow melt creates a waterfall in spring and early summer. Relax on our front patio in front of a nice fire or light up the bar-b-que and dine outside in the shadow of the San Juan Mountains. Shop and recreate in Ouray and return to a quiet home in the woods where deer often wander through the yard.

- three comfortable bedrooms sleep 7 people (1 queen upstairs, 1 bunk bed with twin up top and queen underneath upstairs, 1 queen downstairs).
- two bathrooms (upstairs and downstairs)
- washer and dryer
- Roku streaming TV service including Sling TV and Netflix(48' flat screen in living room, 25' in downstairs bedroom) and wireless internet
- coffee maker, Keurig, toaster, microwave
- gas fireplace
- ceiling fans throughout the house
- automatic dishwasher
- Because some of us have severe dog and cat allergies, we do have a strict no-pets policy. Our housekeepers will report any violations and guests will assessed a daily fee retroactive for their stay, plus extra cleaning fees, and fees for any damage the pet may have caused.

This is a perfect cabin for all the fun things to do in ouray ! It was close to the hiking we wanted to do , a stroll to the hot springs , and just a beautiful location . The instruction list was so clear and easy to follow . We really enjoyed this place .

The entire house, including the kitchen, was more than fully equipped. This was a perfect house for couples, friends and small families. The fire pit in the front yard was fun for evening marshmallow roasts.We appreciated all the helpful communication and help provided by the host!

Very quiet and comfortable place to stay. Very clean, stocked with essentials, impressive view from the dining table. Hiked the perimeter trail and spent time in the hot springs. Will definitely stay here on our next trip to Ouray.

The location was great and as described: close enough to town but away enough as well. We enjoyed the San Juan mountains and had a great time.
However, I was disappointed in the cleanliness of the house...very dusty, floor sticky in some spots, bedding wrinkled when turned down, appearing as if it was slept in and not washed. When I proceeded to wash it, I found the mattress cover to be stained as well as 2 of the pillows...need replacing(?). We also found the bath towels to be dingy, slightly stained, barely folded and appeared to be thrown into the cabinet. Also, the sofa appeared to be pieced together with new fabric seat cushions on a leather sofa, which kept sliding forward and off the frame when we sat on them.
I did communicate these issues with the manager and eventually heard from the owner, who stated if anything needed replacing they would do so and that they would definitely speak to their housekeeper regarding the issues mentioned. I am aware of difficulties managing a VRBO and I was grateful for his reply. I hope that those improvements will be in place for the next rentors as the locations was great, the bed was comfortable and we did overall enjoy the stay.
