About this house rental
Newer construction style home, nestled in the woods of the island. Close to saltwater marina with dock for your boat and fresh water lake a block away from the front door for fishing.
This a 1,800 sq ft. family vacation home nestled in the woods, pine needles on the walkway and deer in the yard. Very nice and modern. We just added 2 full size arcade games in the game room. The Simpson which is 4 player and RidgeRacer which also includes 4 other driving games. It is professionally cleaned after each stay, but there may be some dust missed here, spare towel in the washer there, etc... If you want to be on an island in the Puget Sound, have room to stretch out and make smores & memories w/ the family at the backyard fire pit with the occasional deer, than our place is perfect.
Quaint general store, golf course, and restaurant on the shores of Lake Josephine, one of two fresh water lakes on the island.
There is also a historical farm house with gift shops and museum that you can tour. Great time to go is during the annual Apple squeeze where you can press your cider just like the did on the island over a 100 years ago.

We had a wonderful time at Anderson Island. There was so much to do. We were able to hike a couple of the trails and enjoy the lakes. The kids all had a blast. The lake was just a few feet from the house. The location was very convenient and the house was very well stocked. I really enjoyed my time there and will be returning. The host was very responsive and gave us tips about the island.

The house felt like home, we enjoy our stay over there. If you are looking to get away from the noise this is your place to be.It was a great experience!!!

Location was GREAT! Quiet, peaceful, relaxing. Just enough wildlife to keep you looking for more. Must be mindful of the time when planning a trip off island. Hope your "ferry dust" keeps working for you as well as it did for us. Never missed a ferry ride even though a time or two was just by the skin of our teeth.
Somehow the wrong access code was sent to us and took an hour + to finally get the correct code through the booking agency. The owner called next morning to follow up on what had happened. He was very solicitous.
The rooms were clean & beds comfortable. A new cleaning staff is needed that can organize supplies & realize they need to clean ALL client accessible areas. The patio was not clean or ready for client use - looked more like a storage space. Every closet was unorganized, messy & jammed pack with stuff. No room left for the client to hang their belongings, nor place their luggage. One sheet on the beds is not sufficient. Dishes and cookware were dusty & had to be washed before use. A dishwasher but no soap. What appeared to be "security" equipment was disconnected from three windows, and two windows were left wide open.
I highly recommend the owner do a surprise inspection to see what he is not getting from his staff. The staff will cause him to lose more than he gains by maintaining the current employee's.
