Charming cottage and nature, 18 ha, Périgord Noir-Dordogne -Lot -PISCINE and private SPA

Carine and Olivier host a wonderful gite with the option of hiring the adjacent property for a larger group. It is in a remote but easily accessible location in Dordogne, near the river for kayaking and plenty of local activities - the kids enjoyed the tree top ropes nearby.The house is very spacious with 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms. Private swimming pool and plenty of outdoor games like pétanque, table tennis and darts as well as a huge expanse of land for walking. Carine and Olivier meet you at the property and speak good English. They are very welcoming, staying in the property next door for Saturday night checkin and then leave you to enjoy a restful stay for the rest of the week. My wife and 4 kids and I thoroughly recommend.

A beautiful house in a lovely rural setting. Our family of 3 teenagers and a dog stayed here for a week and it was ideal for our stay. There are lots of wonderful walks straight from the house. The pool is large and fenced and positioned close to a pretty outdoor eating area covered with climbing plants. Indoors, there's a well-equipped kitchen with 2 fridges. Each bedroom is large with very comfy mattresses. The whole house is spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Our lovely hosts were very efficient communicators and welcomed us on arrival. We found the house well-situated for day trips, but to be honest, we mostly spent time walking in the surrounding forests, hanging by the pool and eating!! Loved this house.

We had a wonderful week here in July. The accommodation was fabulous. It is often difficult to find an appropriate space for 3 adult couples with their own private bathrooms, but this was perfect. Together with the inside space, large living and dining area and really well equipped spacious kitchen, the accommodation met all our needs. We regularly cooked at home inside and outside on the BBQ using the local walnut shells as fuel as recommended by our hosts, accessing good supermarkets and local produce morning markets nearby (Souillac a 10 min drive away). Our host baked us a gateaux - noix, a local speciality which was delicious. The ping- pong, badminton, boules, swimming pool with plenty of loungers and other games meant we always had something to do if not out exploring the river and neighbouring villages, and eating out too. The location was rural and very tranquil and there were amazing sunsets to experience. Our hosts were so welcoming, and provided good detailed information in advance of our visit and during. Maison spacieuse et cadre naturel tranquille. Piscine propre et très appréciée vu la chaleur. Des jeux à disposition pour les enfants. Propriétaires accueillants. Nous avons passé une excellente semaine en pleine nature.
