About this cottage rental
Acadia Carriage House at the Ryan's located 1 mile from Eagle lake & 2 1/2 mi. from downtown Bar Harbor & Frenchman's Bay. Experience our stone bridges, access to hiking & biking trails directly from our driveway, as well as great kayaking and swimming. Wildlife abounds here.
Amenities include large, private deck, full kitchen, gas grill, $1 coin laundry, direct TV, free WIFI, AC and heaters. All linens are provided.. Sleeps 4 adults and 3 children. PETS are welcome! Large, fenced dog yard. Crib & high chair available.

Convenient location within a 15 minute drive of most of the main sights and a few minutes walk to an entrance to the carriage roads. Basic, no frills accommodation, but our family of five plus one dog fit comfortably. The apartment is a bit more spacious than we were expecting from the pictures. Deck is a nice size with a picnic table plus four chairs. Great stargazing at night!The biggest disappointment was the bbq. It is included in the listing, but the only one we saw was not clean and had no cooking utensils. Kitchen could also be a bit better stocked- more cutlery would be helpful, the toaster barely toasts, and some basic seasonings (even just salt) would have been appreciated. Laundry is 1 per wash and dry so you may want to bring some quarters.

The place was clean had the essentials. The dogs enjoyed the dog yard. Our expectations were not set up well. There was no view from and vantage point. The way machines did not consistently work but the homeowners were quick to respond to any questions and very welcoming. It is not a house but rather an apartment. We needed more space for 3 adults, 3 kids and 2 dogs.
