*****UPDATE: New, mini-split air conditioning system installed in August, 2025*****Ekahi Village 27C is a beautifully-decorated, updated and meticulously-maintained one bedroom, one-and-a-half bathroom condo in South Maui's prestigious Wailea resorts. The condo features a very spacious two-story "townhouse" floor plan - the largest one bedroom floor plan available in Wailea Ekahi Village resort. The spacious living/dining and sleeping areas are located on separate floors. The condo is located within the Village's exclusive "Lower Village" (the part of the resort closest to the ocean, main pool and pavilion) and overlooks a gorgeous swimming pool.
The unit features panoramic ocean, garden and pool views from its oversized patio (the largest patio size found within Ekahi Village) and private, upstairs lanai off of the bedroom.
The living room features a stunning, contemporary look with brand new furniture and carpeting. A cathedral ceiling and plenty of oversized windows with garden, pool and ocean views provide a spacious, light and airy feeling. The living room opens onto a private, expansive patio with views over the nearby swimming pool, gardens and ocean. The patio features a table for outdoor dining and ample loungers for relaxing in the ocean breezes.
The property is equipped with a brand new (August, 2025), state-of-the-art, mini-split air conditioning system to keep the condo cool in the warmer months. Separately-controlled units in the living/dining room and sleeping areas allow guests to adjust the temperature perfectly to their needs.
The contemporary look of the unit continues in the unit's dining area, with its sleek, glass-top table for four and modern, island-inspired artwork.
The open-plan kitchen is light and airy, featuring granite countertops and a bar for casual drinks and dining. All of the modern appliances a cook requires - side-by-side refrigerator/freezer, oven and range, microwave, dishwasher, toaster and coffee maker - are available for our guests' use.
The large, lofted bedroom upstairs features a contemporary, island look. Unlike most lofted bedrooms, the room is segregated from the living room by a short wall the height of several feet, as opposed to a wrought iron rail, which insures added privacy and safety. The room features a brand new king-sized bed set. Off of the bedroom is a newly-remodeled, full bathroom with walk-in shower, and a huge dressing area with ample closet space. The vanity, with twin 'His and Hers' sinks, is located separately from the toilet and bath/shower area for maximum privacy. A lanai with spectacular, panoramic ocean views is off of the bedroom. The bedroom also features a flat-screened TV.
In addition to the full bathroom upstairs, the condo features a second, half bathroom (toilet and sink) downstairs for guests' convenience.
Amenities include new, flat screen televisions in both the bedroom and living room, an iPod dock sound system, and complementary WiFi throughout the unit.
Wailea Ekahi Village is a luxurious, oceanfront resort village situated along the white, sun-kissed sands of Keawakapu Beach - one of Maui's finest swimming beaches. The resort features 292 units in 54 low-rise dwellings, sitting on 23 acres of lushly-landscaped gardens and broad, emerald greenbelts. The village is dotted with four swimming pools, including a spectacular free-form pool just steps from the beach and ocean. Ekahi 27C is located on a small rise directly above a swimming pool, with an adjacent pickle ball court and two propane bbq units for guests' use.
The beachfront/poolside pavilion features a full kitchen with stoves, ovens, refrigerators and large barbecues for guests' use, a drinking fountain, as well as restrooms and showers. Just off of the pavilion there is a fitness center, free-of-charge for resident guest use. There are sheltered tables and chairs for alfresco dining, or whiling away the afternoon playing cards, reading a novel, or watching the whales frolic offshore. The heated, main swimming pool is large, shaded by majestic palms and located right off of the beach.

Snorkeling and scuba diving along the Wailea/Makena coastline is outrageous, with many world-class sites for both beginners and advanced divers alike. Don a mask, snorkel and fins and spot one of the area's many sea turtles! - frequently sighted right in front of the resort itself.

The condo spaces seem about 20-30% bigger in real compared to the pictures. Easy 5min walk to the pleasant beach nearby. Everything clean, nicely furnished. Many good places to eat within a few minutes drive. Beautiful and well maintained tropical plants all over the grounds. Great views upstairs and downstairs.

Pluses:
-Really great location within Ekahi- not directly off main greenbelt but easy access and private.
-We tend to eat most meals in, and had everything needed to cook
-view from second floor is amazing!
-close to a quiet pool
-really comfortable bed
-solar shades on both lanais so at dinner time when the sun is glaring in your face you can lower and it makes the lanais useful any time
minuses:
-the unit is in need of renovation. Master shower area looks like it has been upgraded recently.
-the unit smelled musty upon arrival (unsure if it had been rented just prior to us being there or not) but we were able to clear it out within an hour or 2 of being there. I think it's because the carpet needs to be replaced.
-ants were a bit of an issue. I say that because interestingly, the tiny island ants don't swarm the food the way mainland ants do. Informed owner on sunday, bug guy was scheduled to come tuesday though he didn't come when we were there so unsure if he came. We just kept most food in frig but they appeared in various areas of the condo then would pop up elsewhere. They weren't unbearable but should be better addressed.
I will say while we had a wonderful time, we wouldn't choose to stay here again unless it's been renovated.
