Stadt Platz is located in the heart of the New Braunfels Historic District on a large lot purchased from the German Immigration Company in 1848. Stadt Haus is at the street side of the lot and Spiel Haus is in the back of the property along with the bunk.
Both Stadt Haus and Spiel Haus have recently been restored to original styles, but they also offer our guests modern conveniences and comfort. The house, cottage and bunk may sleeps a total of (18 people).
Stadt Haus (Circa 1890s) has two bedrooms, one large bathroom with antique bath tub, living room, and kitchen with dining area. The old growth pine floors and high ceilings provide a very warm atmosphere. There are stained glass transoms, beveled windows, and a huge circular stained glass window in the bathroom. Swing or rock on our front or back porchs. There are barbecue-pits and picnic tables for each house shaded by our huge pecan and crepemurtel trees.
Spiel Haus (cottage) is a unique cottage that was constructed in the 1980s from vintage materials taken from an original Falkwerk house in the area. There is a bedroom with a queen bed and a loft bedroom with a queen bed. Under the loft is the dining area with a complete kitchenette. The living area is separated from the kitchenette by the stairwell to the loft. This cozy area is furnished with a sofa sleeper and TV and wireless internet.
Bunk is next to Spiel Haus (cottage) and has the 2 beds, a queen and a full size bed. Bunk serves as the extra bedroom, has no kitchen or bathroom. Spiel Haus is about 10ft away to use the bathroom.
The grounds are privacy fenced and landscaped to offer our guests natural beauty and comfort. Outdoor shower with hot and cold water. Stadt Platz is a half block from the famous plaza and across the street from the original Market Platz of New Braunfels. You can walk two blocks to the Comal River & Tube Chute, 3 blocks to Schlitterbahn, or restaurants, bars, and shops in downtown New Braunfels. The Float In, Rockin R River Rides or Felger's Tube Rentals can pick you up at our front door and take you to Float the Comal River, you must contact a river outfitter to schedule a time and pricing.

We came to New Braunfels for my daughter’s bridal shower. We had a great weekend, the house is very spacious with rooms in the main house and rooms in the outside cabins. The outdoor seating was great and spacious for morning coffee or evening cocktails. The location was amazing. Everything we had planned was within walking distance. The owner had great communication, and was extremely helpful. We will be back!!!

Very nice piece of property close to downtown in the river. Rustic cedar and stone home – had a great time. The owner was prompt to reply to inquiries, and all of the documentation was clear and concise.

Great location! Group of 9 stayed, huge shout out for providing enough towels (I find these type of rental properties never have enough towels for larger groups)! Great check-in/out process. No outrageous cleaning requirements at the end. The outdoor area is great & being able to shut the gate to the property was nice, lots of parking! So things of note though: 1. The oven cooks slow. 2. There's no dishwasher. 3. The a/c is not adequate for the house. 4. The front bedroom in the main house on the right side of the living-room, is HOT. No airflow in the room at all. Needs window unit. 5. Cleanliness was average.
6. Most importantly, the BEDS were AWFUL!! Lumpy & hard as a rock! 7. The back house with only beds, really needs a bathroom. 8. The cost was really expensive for the what was rented.
