Sunlight Beach Getaway - sleeps 8, beachfront getaway on Useless Bay

Fabulous location for a getaway! Right on the beach with amazing views! The house is comfortable with large open living/dining/kitchen area that opens to a beautiful deck with grass to the rockery that drops down to the beach. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked with all the necessities. Patti was a great host and communicator as well. This is a great location to stay with easy access to Langley, Coupeville, Fort Casey and South Whidbey beaches. We definitely recommend Sunlight Beach Getaway and will return in the future.

Great location, perfect being right on the shore front. Kids kayaked, fished, rock hounded and walked out as far as the low tide would allow counting tons of sand dollars. House was very clean and had the main comforts that we needed. Enjoyed the patio with all the outdoor furniture!

Beautiful Puget Sound view, mountains in the distance, sandy beach with easy access. Quiet location a short jaunt from Seattle. Gorgeous view from picture windows. House seemed sturdy and well insulated. Comfortable beds, nice bed linens. Adequate towels, and dishes, decently stocked kitchen, though not gourmet, if that's what you want; not us. But a bit tired around the edges. We were greeted just inside the door by carpet on the stairs in need of cleaning. Dinky upstairs shower and slow filling toilet, and no blind on that window. Downstairs queen bedroom blind cord broke the first time we tried to raise it. Downstairs shower water pressure wasn't great - took a long time to rinse hair. But, nice fireplace, spacious deck with nice furniture and benches. However, the roof is leaking over the deck, and rot is obvious in fascia boards and beams - strongly advise that it be repaired before winter, or damage will soon spread and you'll have interior damage as well. Need to open exterior door downstairs for a couple days to air it out, as the strong chemical smell made it unpleasant to spend more than a few minutes down there. All in all, very glad we stayed, and enjoyed the beach and surrounding area. But dollar for dollar, there are better values with equivalent locations, but nicer houses. Repairs and updates will make this house stellar. Will we repeat our visit? Probably not, unless those things happen. Thanks very much!
