What a lovely and comfy place. The view out every window is lovely and peaceful, and the smell of the woods after it rains is second-to-none. I had my two teenage boys with me, and as they eat like horses, I do a lot of cooking. The cabin had everything I needed to whip up breakfasts, lunches, and dinners, and we especially enjoyed the waffle iron. We’d had an itinerary in place before coming out, but I really appreciated the cabin’s info binder as it had everything from restaurants to “secret” swimming holes, off-road routes to more major attractions like Royal Gorge. It also had a lot of info about the house that made using the hot tub, indoor heaters, etc., that much easier. The owners (and property managers) were so, so kind. Following a minor scheduling mishap of mine, they worked with us to find an efficient solution that worked for everyone, and we were so grateful for their flexibility—I really can’t thank them enough. We’d love to come back sometime for more adventure as there’s so much to explore and enjoy there, and the cabin was a beautiful, clean, comfortable, and well-provisioned base camp to do it from.

Took my family on vacation to see the mountains. Wanted a stay away from all the noise, but close enough to drive to. This cabin did just that. The family loved the time spent in the cabin. The dirt road to the cabin is no joke though. Following google maps its about 9 miles of dirt road. Its a slow go, but very scenic.

The place was great! We had an amazing time! GREAT communication between guest and host… this was our first time renting and it couldn’t have gone smoother! We enjoyed the hot tub and the view! The cabin had no AC but we enjoyed their heating system! It was amazing!

We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was truly beautiful. It was nice and clean and the couch was super comfortable. The cabin is in a nice secluded place to get out of the hustle and bustle of the city to unwind and relax. I highly recommend it. I would like to thank the host for making this a nice place to stay.

We booked the cabin really for our pup. He is scared of fireworks. The cabin was quiet and relaxing. Deck was the best part. The bed was uncomfortable. They had a list of chores for you to do in a rule book, some others in a card and a sticky note on the cabinet. None of which was on Vrbos site. Just wasn’t expecting to be required to wash a load of laundry.

The owners were amazing and fast responding. The house is beautiful and very clean. There wasn’t AC but they had plenty of fans to accommodate, Let me add it was not HOT it was cool. It was kind of hard to use the HOT tub due to the windy weather. The house was completely stocked with everything you needed. We don’t bring our pups but definitely could have!!!

Fantastic stay!!This was a 3rd annual trip with our family, could not have picked a better spot!One part of us drove down from Michigan and the other part drove up from Texas. We had everything we needed. I have recommended this house for quite a few people! Hiking all around the property, and amazing views from the porch. This was a great trip for a very much needed vacation.

We really enjoyed this cabin and our stay here. The host paid attention to details, and all our needs were met. The hot tub on the deck had beautiful views and was the best hot tub we have ever used - spacious with well-placed, powerful jets. While technically in a neighborhood, the layout and trees gave us the feeling of seclusion and privacy. We traveled from here to some great drives and hikes (Eleven Mile Canyon, Cripple Creek, Phantom Canyon Road, etc.)

Everything was beautiful the whole time. Seeing the wildlife every morning was very thrilling. The sunsets were amazing. One of the best times we had in a while. Want to thank the host and the Caretaker dor rescuing us when we accidently locked ourselves out. Great response time.

Our family of five had a wonderful time staying in this cabin for the weekend. Seeing the night sky without city lights pollution is wonderful. The Jacuzzi is a great addition to this property. Be prepared to drive on a rough dirt road for about 10 miles to get there. Highly recommended property.

This cabin is so beautiful, inside and out. The location is private and secluded. You have everything you could ever need and more provided. The Hot tub was especially nice, and the view stunning. We absolutely fell in love with the cabin. There is more than enough room for a couple and I'd imagine a family would be comfortable.

My kids and I were looking for a Colorado mountains experience and we sure found it! The cabin was well off the beaten path but wonderfully quiet and secluded. The roads were rough once you got off the main highway due to the grading, but were not impossible for a car without 4WD. The cabin had all the kitchen and bath amenities of a home, which was very convenient. Overall we had a great time relaxing, enjoying the views, and visiting the nearby towns.

LOVE this property! Quiet, secluded, well maintained, and had everything we needed. The drive up in the snow was beautiful. We arrived to find a beautiful, clean and well stocked cabin, a personal note from the host Joann, and even a small homemade holiday treat. The views are spectacular. Cooking dinner on the grill, then hitting the hot tub in the evening was awesome. The dogs (& us) really enjoyed watching for wildlife from the deck and just hanging out. The cabin sits back at the end of a cul-de-sac so no need to worry about traffic when enjoying an afternoon walk. We will definitely want to book this one again next New Years!

We stayed here over Thanksgiving, and it was the perfect retreat! The property was even more gorgeous in person. You can tell the property owners are thoughtful and provided an abundance of towels, shower supplies, and kitchen tools for convenience. Perfect place to unwind for our 44th wedding anniversary. Bought groceries on the way up and never left, the fall view & hot tub was too peaceful to leave! Kitchen had everything we needed. Too warm for snow & blazing fireplace, can only imagine.... Only downfall is the worn out sectional. All said, doesn't get much better, wish we would've booked a few more nights. "If the creeks don't rise & the Lord willing" we'll be back to celebrate number 45.

We enjoyed our stay. The home is very remote and views are stunning. We were looking to experience a quiet couple of days during our son’s short break away from the Air Force Academy. Overall, the property was nice. The couch in the living space, which is really the only gathering/seating area, was incredibly worn out and uncomfortable. This really impacted our experience, as settling in for movies was a large part of what we were looking to do.

Roads to cabin were washboeard pretty bad and you had to pay attention to the signage along the way. It help to find it on Google Earth before hand. Only fault, the hot tub would not heat up to a proper temperature. Heating element may need replacing. It was warm 96F but by no means hot 102-104F. Overall great! Nice and quiet and great views!
