About this house rental
Beautiful 3 bedroom, 2 bath on Shem creek. Updated bathrooms, kitchen, floors, furniture. This home is set up for family vacations with a slant toward outdoors activity. Use the dock with floater to fish, kayak, canoe, paddle board, watch sunsets or hang out in the rear yard to bbq and relax on Adirondack chairs in front of the reclaimed brick fireplace. Tidal creek, so 2ft at low tide and 8ft at high tide. Den, kitchen, dining room, and screened in porch all have views of the marsh, dock and creek. 8.5 foot custom pool table in the loft overlooking the den and kitchen area. The house was clean and the home owner responsive to any questions we had. The neighborhood is quiet and much time was spent at the dock fishing or simply sitting and taking in the outdoors. The location lent itself well to everything we wanted to do in Mount Pleasant and Charleston.

This is a very nice property and a great place to relax. Close enough to everything and still quiet area. For the most part, it lived up to our expectations. The water level depends on the tide. When the tide is out, not much water is at the dock. There is not an area at the dock to swim. Adding a TV to the other 2 bedrooms would be nice. AC seemed to struggle during the hottest parts of the day. Overall this is a great rental and we enjoyed our stay.

The location of this home was perfect! Very nice home in a very nice and quiet neighborhood. The dock was very nice and kept me and my son-in-law busy.

Unfortunately my initial impression of the house was not great. I had to clean both bathrooms before I could even use them. Overall I felt that the house was in need of some serious deep cleaning. I could see the house being rough after a busy summer season, but that’s not the case; it’s spring. The walls are marked up. Most of the closet doors are broken. The walls could use some fresh paint. Cupboards have old food and coffee left over from previous visitors (some being expired by over a year!). All the windows were dirty, to the point that it distracted from the view outside. The guest bathroom has black all around the grout. Mold was growing in between the fridge doors (I also cleaned the fridge) The back screen door is in terrible shape. The screened in porch wasn’t even attempted to be cleaned, had a good covering of dirt and pollen. The neighbors were all pleasant. The dock was enjoyable. It’s a good location.
