We stayed two weeks in this ground floor condo and loved it. The good: It's 16 steps from the the seawall. We loved the surf noise and the view of the ocean, plus Lanai and Molokai just 10 miles offshore. Waves splash onto the grass.The patio (locals call it the Lanai) is a perfect place to work.Most of the time we forgot we had neighbors, as our view was just grass and ocean.In late January, we saw so many whales we stopped noticing them, and turtles most days.We didn't feed the birds, but other people obviously do. They want to come inside, and often perched on the patio table with me while I worked. We enjoyed that.The Bads: The beach ain't great. We swam several times, and with the snorkeling gear we found on the patio we saw a few fish, but it's not the main attraction. The condo is smaller than the main picture leads you to believe (that's a mirror wall) but it's plenty big for two people. It's a shotgun layout, neither spacious nor cramped.Those were the only downsides.We cooked every day, and the kitchen had everything we needed. In fact we found all the small amenities we needed.The guest directions (how to clean up, etc) were the friendliest I have ever seen in a vrbo.An ABC and the Times supermarket are within walking distance, if you don't mind walking a mile, and a large Safeway is 5 miles away.In my opinion, it's foolish to visit hawaii and not get a room with a view. If we return to Maui, we'll try to book this same room.

The location and unit was perfect for us. We loved sitting outside and seeing the ocean, turtles and whales. It was a quiet and comfortable environment. Lonnie was very responsive when we contacted her. We were wondering if everything would be closed from the fires and it was NOT. Plenty of places to eat, shop and enjoy! The only issue we had was the bedroom got warm with no AC and the ceiling fan not working. Fortunately the weather wasn't that hot during our stay.

The place was great. The lanai was great to sit and watch the whales from. Parking was convenient. Definitely would stay again.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property matched our expectations and was as presented. Unfortunately there were bed bugs and we had very itchy fresh bites each night which wasn't ideal.
