About this apartment rental
The Axtell complex location does not get any better being situated right at the base of Silver Queen lift on Mount Crested Butte. Enjoy additional property amenities like complimentary wifi and an outdoor communal hot tub to observe the base area activity. Strict parking for 1 on-site. There are other pay parking options available, or free parking in the town of Crested Butte.
This 3 bedroom, 3 full bath condominium is quite unique and spans three floors of the Axtel Building. The entrance is located slope side on the third floor with ski and bike closet storage on the ground floor. Entering the condo you are introduced to the upgraded dining room and kitchen with stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. The dining room is commanding with an electric fireplace, seating for 8, and a balcony overlooking the lifts. Hall full bath is also located on the entry level, as well as a bunk room that can hold up to five with two twin bunks and a single trundle. The kids will stay entertained with their own flat-screen TV in this room. Continuing upstairs to the open living room with a wet bar and comfy seating for everyone to enjoy with a large flat-screen TV. The Queen guest bedroom with a flat-screen TV is also located on the second floor with a hall full bath (apologies, the 2-person sauna is out of order until we can receive parts for repair). Moving to the third and top floors of the condo, you’ll be impressed with the master bathroom. It features a deep inlaid, jetted tub to soak in after a long day of playing. You’ll also rest easy on the king bed or relax with some shows on the flat-screen TV. The stacked washer and dryer are located on the entry floor. Please note, this condo requires quite a few stairs but the location is unparalleled. Strict parking for 1 on-site. There are other pay parking options available, or free parking in the town of Crested Butte.
The FREE Mountain Express Shuttle runs year-round for transportation to and from the Town of Crested Butte and surrounding areas. Axtel is within close walking distance of the main transit center. Summer schedule runs every 20 minutes; winter schedule runs every 15 minutes; shoulder seasons every 40 minutes.
Crested Butte Lodging & Property Management provides the basic comforts of home. Upon your arrival, you’ll find that we supply all linens, towels, and paper goods. This includes paper towels, toilet paper, starter shower kits, coffee packets with powder creamer and sugar, kitchen towels, dish sponges, dish soap, and dish detergent. If you would like to arrange housekeeping services during your stay, please contact our office to schedule for a modest fee.

Steps from the lift. The condo is well stocked and feels comfortable. We cooked dinner one night and went out to the local spots for other nights. We would definitely go back. Only drawback is that it only has one parking spot. If you have more than 6 people in two cars it could be hard. Crested Butte has some pretty restrictive parking rules so it is not necessarily the condos fault. We just found out right before we arrived so we were surprised by it since we had two cars

We enjoyed our stay at this condo overall. VERY convenient location in relation to the slopes (but see re; stairs below)The kitchen is spacious and well stocked to be able to cook a meal. very easy to adjust the temperature inside to be comfortable. We were only able to find 2 humidifiers (we had people in all 3 rooms). The one in the master bedroom did not work the whole time, and both seemed to have black stuff keep coming out in the water. Either bring your own (very much needed up there!) or hope they are replaced. The biggest thing to be aware of (and maybe I missed it in the listing) is that the entrance to the condo is up 4 flights of stairs. There is no direct access to the front of the building from the parking lot, you have to walk around. Singage was kind of vague. An elevator would DO WONDERS in this building. So when you first arrive with luggage and groceries, be aware you have A LOT of stairs and carrying to do! We were not prepared for this. Thanks!
