The Kayu Manis Villa

What a wonderful stay! A stunning place with breathtaking views. The accommodation is very spacious, spotless, and fully equipped. Dian, our host, is incredibly kind — and she speaks French, which was a real bonus! The breakfast was delicious and generous. In short, we can’t wait to come back!

The only (very minor) downside is the location, a bit remote — but that’s the price to pay for such a peaceful and beautiful setting.

The Villa was amazing and staff very friendly and helpful. The owners drove me everywhere I needed to go.

Amazing place, just 5-10mn drive to Lovina center. Situated in a quiet place on the cliff, the view is magnificent, especially when the sky is clear for the sunset. The 2BR we've booked was super charming, with a big living room and all the facilities needed. Very clean. Beautiful swimming pool. A big thank to Dian, for the beautiful decoration done on the bed with flowers for our 16th wedding anniversary. She is very welcoming, super helpful. Thank you so much!

Great place up in the hills above Lovina. Quite far from centre but didn’t matter though as free transport provided by the host to beach bars and activities. As out of town, very quiet at night, which is a bonus if you’re getting up early for Dolphin tour. Room was large with excellent shower. Breakfast better than most for similar price. Very helpful staff, would stay again.

Beautiful view overlooking the Lovina beach from atop a hill. Courteous and friendly owners that spend time getting to know you.

The pictures of the property are what drove me to choose to stay here and I was not disappointed at all. The place is just like the pics but my room was bigger than i expected which was a nice surprise. Diane is lovely, if she is not on the property you can text her and she is very responsive. Her staff are very friendly and keep the place spotless. I didnt realise that you have to put out the 'please clean room' sign to have housekeeping so if you stay here dont forget to put out your sign. If you dont, then they won't enter your villa which is also nice if you want privacy. The pool area is shared, with an infinity pool and a cabana area. You order your breakfast and the time the night before. There are a variety of options, all very good. The hotel is up a hill and not within walking distance of the beach. Trust me; I tried and failed. I made it down the hill and walked to what I thought was the start of the beach where the locals live. You cant walk all the way along to the main tourist bit as there are rivers that run into the water, so you end up walking along the road with no pavement. I ended up getting a grab bike. Contrary to my research before I came I found that grab was easy to use, although there are signs up near the beach that they arent allowed to enter as the locals would prefer to make money directly rather than via an app. The hotel recommended places to eat - both were verrryy good. So if you stay here and ask for a recommendation you wont be disappointed. Diane's husband also gave me some lifts which I appreciated. If you drive a scooter than you can hire them from the villa for a good price but I unfortunately didnt learn to drive before I came here. If you dont want to venture far then you can also order delivery from several menus. All food i ordered to the villa was great.

Excellent hospitality, facilities, location and overall stay.

Wonderful helpful and thoughtful staff. We were made to feel completely at home. It’s a special and very laid back place to relax and enjoy the views.

First the very useful recommmendations for Restaurants and else. Second. The Hotel carried us to and location close by and picked us UP. The Individual and sustaining support at our ac tivities in and outside. 3rd The infinity pool with great view to the ocean. 4th waterstation for free. Kitchenuse possible.

Situated on a mountain it became of importance how bali handles Trash - its burned down anywhere and evrytime. This is Not the Problem of the hotel, but it became concious. The area is Islamiszic/hinduistic religious. So sunset and sunrise is time of public announcements by public loud speaker. Those are Not to present but the come to your ears.

Dian is an amazing host… she made us very comfortable, always smiling and helpful. Wayan was a fantastic chef who started us out every day with tasty breakfasts. Location is idyllic and peaceful. Great views from the pool and dining area. Truly a gem! Suite was very spacious, very tastefully appointed, and bathroom was huge. Great bed, pillows and toiletries. Grounds are impecable.

Our stay in The Kayu Manis Villa was an amazing experience. The facilities were super clean, and breakfast was delicious. Dian is an excellent hostess, so kind and friendly (as the rest of the staff). They even offered us a ride to the beach instead of calling a taxi. Totally recommended!

Everything. From the moment we drove up the path and entered the gate, the grounds were beautifully appointed. Entrance is lovely and we were welcomed and escorted up the steps to our room. The room was gorgeous. Massive and had a large four poster bed in the center. The bathroom can only be described as WOW! We did not want to leave or sight see but stay in our room. Breakfast was amazing as well! So many options! And cooked for you at the time you chose. You can also book tours through reception if you wish. The lady Dian looking after the place was beautiful and lovely to deal with. I wish we could give more than 10 stars because they deserve it!

We loved everything!

This place was definitely one of our best stays in Bali. The room was beautiful, mini bar was complimentary, and the sunset view was fantastic! The owner of Kayu Manis really went above and beyond to make sure our stay was a good one. Making our breakfast the way we liked it, and even ordering food for us upon arrival (as it was late in the day and we were starving and didn't know where to go) The on-site massage ladies were great. Really enjoyed the massage we had. Dedicated recommend staying here!

Lovely villa with great pool area.

A bit hard to communicate in English with staff, it worked out well, but we had a couple of misunderstandings during our stay.

Everything! The rooms were spacious and exceptionally clean and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was so big! The breakfasts were fresh and delicious. The pool and view was incredible. The hosts Dian and Michel were so warm, friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to make our stay memorable. All the staff were also very friendly. Will be back to stay again.

Great villa, furniture, view and quiet. Dian is also very nice and has a great energy around her. I fully understand the high rate of this lovely place. Lovina is a great place for trips to waterfalls, dolphin spotting and snorkeling.

the overall experience was great. Amazing place like oasis ,a little further from the center but in a quiet place. Very spacious villa ,furnished very nicely and with taste. i am in love with this place.The owner is very nice lady who showed us the new villa and made sure that we have everything needed. The breakfast was really nice as well. we love it and will definitely come back here:)

Very friendly staff. Hospitality deserves a big 10!! we booked the large villa with 2 bed rooms and spacious living room. This was an amazing villa to stay. When opening the curtains we had a straight view to the pool and the sea. this was incredible. The owner was willing to bring us to the center any time. This is a big plus. Also a spa was offered. we enjoyed a nice massage. strongly recommended!! Owners speak both English and French

Nothing. Location is a little outside Lovina, but this was not an issue, since they offered taxi service to the center!

The villas are really spacious and clean. The breakfast is good and the hosts are really nice.

The only reason why I wouldn’t give it 10 is the location. There are no amenities within walking distance and the villa only provides breakfast. So for activities, lunch and dinner you are reliant on drivers, delivery and the hosts ability to drop you off in town.

Fantastic stay with Dian and Michel. You can’t find better hosts. They do everything to make you feel at home. The pool and the villa’s are absolute top 👌

everything about this villa was amazing , totally worth staying 2 nights

due to lovina not being a huge tourist spot, gojek no allowed . requiring need of local drivers , can be much pricer travelling. should consider a scooter or have contact with a local driver that can help you travel around

We had a very short stay at Kayu Manis Villa, but it was the best one in Bali so far! The villa was fantastically clean and beautiful, breakfasts are very delicious. We also tried a massage after our long tour day and it was very relaxing. Dian is very friendly and caring, she organised us a table at the restaurant in Lovina at the last minute. If I could give, this property would have 20 points out of 10 from me. We will definitely return ❤️

Location is little bit out of hand and Lovina is not one of the greatest locations in Bali
