About this cottage rental
LOVE your stay in our charming classic Carmel cottage located in the golden rectangle, with easy 7 block walks north into town or west down to the beach, and an easy 1.25 mile walk to the Carmel Gate onto Pebble Beach 17 mile drive (go west on 13th down to and left on San Antonio, cross Ocean and continue to the Carmel Gate and PB entrance). It has two comfortable bedrooms with en suite bathrooms. The front bedroom has a cal-king bed, with a bathroom and a stall shower. The back bedroom is a cal-king bed and the en suite bathroom has a shower tub. The living room couch is a queen hide-a-bed. High thread count linens on the comfortable beds make for a wonderful nights sleep.
The living room has a sitting/reading area with a skylight and large window overlooking the side patio. There is a wood burning fireplace, cable smart TV, free wifi, a game table, and comfortable seating. The kitchen has an eating area with table and chairs for 4. The eating area looks out on the back patio which has outdoor dining furniture and a propane fire pit. The cottage is 1200 square feet. There is a one car driveway and parking on the street which is just out of reach of the tourist traffic in downtown Carmel. Amenities include washer/dryer, gas stove, microwave, and fully stocked array of pots, pans, dishes, utensils. as well as well stocked array of spices for cooking. Enjoy the back patio and yard with a propane fire pit. The cottage is close to the Carmel Mission (3 blocks south), and Clint Eastwood's Mission Ranch (2 blocks south) for cocktails and/or dinner overlooking the sheep pasture and the ocean beyond.
It is 10-30 minutes to all the tourist destinations such as Big Sur, Rocky Point, Nepenthe, Carmel Valley wineries, golf courses (e.g. Pebble Beach, Spanish Bay, Poppy Hills, Black Horse, Bayonet, and Pacific Grove Muni), Monterey Bay Aquarium, Cannery Row, and the Monterey Wharf.

The owners are the most accommodating we have encountered in many years of Vrbo stays. The cottage is comfortable and very well maintained. The owners have thought about everything you might need and provided it. Backyard patio was a favorite. We had overcast cool weather for July but Carmel River State Beach is an amazing and uplifting experience no matter the weather. Thank you!

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The home is clean and comfortable. Towels and linens were like new. Kitchen was well stocked with everything you would need to prepare a meal and serve it. The dining area is in a nook with windows all around that creates a sunny spot to enjoy morning coffee. The beds were super comfortable as was the living room furniture. You could not ask for a better location. 6 blocks to the city, 5 blocks to the beach and 5 blocks to the Mission. All in all a quiet location with great walking access.We would definitely stay again.Roland & Colette Chamberland
