Moonwalk - mid century modern home on North Shore St. Croix

Gorgeous setting!  However, I found out after booking that a/c was in 2 bedrooms only and that I would be threatened with overages if I used too much of it at night. Thankful I didn't have anyone trying to sleep in that loft.  I overestimated how cooling the ocean breeze would be in the rest of the house. With the sun beating in all the windows until late afternoon it was pretty uncomfortable inside.  They do have various fans but they are so loud it's not very peaceful. Also speaking of windows, if you need a dark bedroom to sleep, you won't find that here. Due to the hot kitchen, I never wanted to turn on the stove or oven.  There was only enough lighter fluid to start the charcoal grill once.  The cupboards could use some cleaning out; there are spices that have been expired for several years. A laundry basket would have been great to have since the machines are in the unattached garage. Be aware they also do not provide laundry soap, shampoo, paper towels or even your first morning's coffee. There was enough dishwasher soap to last half the week and we've run out of Dawn.  Not that they claimed to provide all these things, but with the price, it would have been nice.

My wife and I throughly enjoyed our stay at Moonwalk. The house/property is very unique with lots of local art and decor. Staying on The North Shore is incredible. We love going to the local food truck in the mornings when they’re open and The Landing Restaurant for the mahi tacos. Cane Bay beach is also our favorite spot on the island. We never really experienced any of the “dust” that the homeowner mentions in their listing. The A/C in the bedrooms works really well and we got awesome sleep while on island. The private pool was very refreshing and with the house being on the water hearing and listening to the waves crash on the shore was a special treat. We hope to make it back to our favorite island sooner than later.

Moonwalk is a beautiful home, perfect for those who truly want to be right by the sea and experience it fully....the saltiness, the warmth, the sounds, and the beauty. If St. Croix is your kind of getaway island, this spot provides both privacy and convenience to the North Shore community. We found it soulfully decorated, well-stocked, and sincerely shared with its visitors. We hope to get an opportunity to return for another stay!
