We've been to this wonderfull location just before Christmas, 3 Adults and 2 small children. A lot of place for us all. Very comfy, warm and quiet. Also we have seen the Northern Lights. The location of the Cottage it is just perfect, to relax with family or friends. The Host is very kind and helpfull (I lost my drone in a tree, about 5 meters tall, and Sakarim came with his son and helped me get the drone from the tree down). The host was also kind enough to buy 2 sleighs for the children, a smal gesture with a big meaning. Thank you again. It was more than perfect for us

The only Problem for somebody who is used to the ,,city comfort'' it is the lack of a Shower, but you can take a bath in the Sauna, or the outdoor eco toilet, but this are not like minus points, they are part of the experience.

Amazing landlord, very helpful

The location is fantastic, with a huge beautiful lake right in front of the house and Ranua Zoo some 40 km away. The sandy beach is nice but stones appear about 5 m into the lake where you cannot really swim yet. Sauna was nice and there is a large yard with no traffic going through, very quiet and peaceful. The owner was very friendly although we came earlier than announced. No TV, which can be quite nice. There were darkening blinds in all windows except the doors. The place has great potential if it is a bit cleaned, and furniture and kitchen stuff changed. For one night okay at its current state and if you are not too spoiled, but it should be much cheaper.

The cottage looks cozy on the pictures but in fact it is quite shabby and filthy, with old furniture, almost broken carpets and blinds, yellowish curtains, colorful blankets, worn mattresses, and old wax table clothes. The sofas have been used for some 20-30 years, the dishes and cutlery are mixed and old, the sinks in the kitchens got stuck over night, and the yard is full of half cut woods, a broken tree, sand heap and some plastic boards. The cottage does not have a bathroom, as in the description, but an outdoor dry wc and modest sauna. Drinking water is brought by the owner. Note that there are mires around everywhere, so most likely lots of mosquitos in summer if it is not windy.
