About this cottage rental

This quiet and serene Cape Cod cedar shake cottage consists of two main rooms. The large bedroom has a king bed, with a sitting area, 43' flat screen TV, with wi-fi throughout, 1/2 bath with washer/dryer and walk-in closet. The French doors open to an outside sitting area with meadow views. Connected by a breezeway, the separate structure houses a large kitchen room with a dining and sitting area, full kitchen, bath with shower, large closets and French doors that open to a vine covered patio and BBQ area.

We had a great stay again. Just know that the bedroom and kitchen are separate but connected by a breezeway. For us, this is ideal, as I get up early to work, and my wife likes to wake up slowly with a cup of coffee, eventually. The magic is at night, when you get back and build a little fire in the chiminea, open a bottle of wine and watch the sun set.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful and relaxing property. The cottage had everything that we needed. We drank our coffee while watching the deer in the backyard and walked downtown almost every day via the nearby bike path. Sonoma is a beautiful place and we took advantage of this property’s location to visit many of the highlights of the Sonoma and Napa Valleys including wineries, fine dining, hiking and state forests..

My wife and I spent three nights in Sonoma at this detached cottage. The place was very private and quiet in a nice neighborhood on the outskirts. Sleeping was very comfortable, we cooked breakfast before the adventures of the day. Relaxing patio. Easy drive to nearby wine country spots including Healdsberg, Napa and Yountville. Owners were warm and gave great recommendations.

First time visit to Sonoma area for both me and my friend. We were thrilled to find this great place to stay, a gem of a hidden cottage behind the main house. Jim (and his smiley grand-daughter) gave us a friendly welcome and some tips for walking trail into town and where to find a coffeeshop. This clean, comfortable and tranquil setting is so much closer to town than we expected, and the jasmine on the breezeway completed an idyllic stay. I would love to come again!

This back house was perfect! The location is about 1.5 miles to Sonoma Square. We enjoyed wine tasting and restaurants in town and would retire to this peaceful location in the evenings. There is a market two minutes drive right around the corner. The bed is super comfy! We really enjoyed sipping wine on the private patio. Thanks for a great stay.

This is a nice guest house close to everything but still very isolated and quiet. We found it a bit awkward to have the bedroom seperated from the kitchen-living/dining room combination, but quickly overcame that. We were very comfortable here and would certainly stay again.

My biggest problem with the property was that you had to leave one cottage, where the bed was and walk outside across the breezeway to the cottage that had the shower. Other than that, the property was in good shape and a nice place to stay.

We absolutely loved this quaint VRBO! Plenty of room for the two of us. The kitchen was well stocked with all the necessities for cooking. Everything was clean and the owner was very pleasant. We enjoyed seeing the chickens and Lady Bug, the dog, every day if only for short visits to get her pets! The location is walking distance to the main square and it’s a beautiful quiet neighborhood. All the neighbors we encountered were friendly. We would absolutely go back again! Thanks Jim & Dianna & Lady Bug!

My wife and I had an amazing stay here. The house was everything that was advertised. Peaceful, quite setting with an amazing garden and landscape. Stepping out on to the back patio each morning was a dream. If you are looking for a quite, relaxing trip to Sonoma, I would highly recommend staying here. The house is conveniently located near the town square. Each day my wife and I ventured into the surrounding wineries and it was such a pleasure to come home to the clean, peaceful setting. This is an ideal place for two people looking for a relaxing weekend. The owners were extremely nice and friendly. They even left a phone number to reach out for local recommendations, which was great. Their recommendations were top notch. You can only get some much info online, so it helps to get a local perspective.
