About this house rental

Nestled in a pine forest just below the Heavenly Ski Resort, this beautifully appointed 6 bedroom, 4 bath family friendly mountain home is a tranquil retreat, but still in the heart of South Lake Tahoe. Close to the top restaurants and casinos, this home is also literally steps from the Heavenly Ski Shuttle—so your group can hit the slopes with ease, no car required. It is also located close to world-class hiking and biking, and just minutes from the lake for all of your fun-filled water adventures.

You’ll love the open floor plan and the rustically chic furnishings. Upstairs, the Great Room is equipped with a 60' LCD TV and Blue Ray player, gas fireplace, pool table, and wet bar.

The kitchen features a Viking gas range, stainless appliances, and granite counters. The open plan ensures you can prepare food and drink all while enjoying socializing with your group. A generously-sized dining table plus counter seating at the island provide space for everyone. The room also opens onto a balcony that looks out onto an undeveloped lot of pine trees. Furnished with lounge chairs and a barbecue, it’s the perfect place for warm-weather cooking.

The comfortable bedrooms are split between upstairs and downstairs, and all open to balconies or patios. The downstairs bathrooms have showers and the upstairs bathrooms have shower/baths.

Location excellent!We have planned our family vacations in Lake Tahoe for the last 10 years. We stayed at the house next door in 2013 & already familiar with the area.We always have a wonderful week with family. Our host was most cordial & pleasant to communicate with.However, the property wasn’t very clean upon arrival. The only thing that looked like that was given attention in way of cleanliness was the towels & linens. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware, bakeware dishes & utensils. But some of the cookware was rusty & not suitable for cooking/baking.Despite this, my family thoroughly enjoyed the stay at the house on David Lane.

Upon letter for start of stay found propane is not provided for BBQ as well as 1/2 roll of paper towels, most dishware is either a bit dirty or chipped. Cabinets can use a clean interior. 1 towel per person foe 1 week had to wash own towls to have more to use noisy heating unit runs basically on wall of suite with bath attached

This property is in a good location to get anywhere in a short time. Just minutes away from Heavenly Village and the casinos if you are so inclined. The accommodations met our needs very well. Plenty of room for everyone to spread out.

We couldn't have been more happy about our decision to stay at Christina's cabin. Location was perfect; the shuttle to Heavenly's California Lodge picked up our group of skiers and snowboarders 50 steps from the front door! Incredibly convenient. We enjoyed playing pool at night by the ambiance of the fireplace. Christina's instructions were very clear and it's apparent that she cares a great deal for her guests. Would absolutely recommend! 5 stars.

This was our first time visiting Heavenly Ski Resort and it was amazing. The house location was what made this a great pick. There was a shuttle that picked us up right at the end of the street making getting to the resort simple. Christina was very responsive and even suggested great restaurants to try out in the area. The house had a cozy cabin feel making it a great place to spend time with friends. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed for our meals. The house was very spacious and gave our large group more than enough room. I wish this location had a hot tub to relax after a long day of skiing and enjoy the mountain views. But overall, it was a great stay and would highly recommend this place!

Overall, I was really happy with our stay here. The location was great and nearby the lake + downtown areas which made exploring easy and stress free. The house was very clean when we arrived and detailed instructions for things like the WiFi and entertainment system were placed throughout. We really appreciated the pool table and nearby wetbar which were highlights of the stay, lots of fun! The bedrooms were also comfortable and a group of 8 adults were able to sleep comfortably. While I didn't interact with the host much, prior to my arrival they made sure I had everything we needed so there were no surprises. I'd recommend this place to anyone visiting the area and wants a bigger space that can entertain during the quiet moments of your stay in Lake Tahoe.

Overall, this place met all our needs and comfort. A home away from home. Parking was limited to three cars , a tight squeeze. Thank goodness we have mid-size suvs. The pool table was very entertaining during our stay. Love that there was ac at this house unlike others. Would be nice if there was backyard for some private evening lounge but it was okay without it. Communication with the owner was good in that Christina responded in a timely manner to my request. All in all, we were happy with our stay and wouldn’t mind staying here in the future. :)Chee

Great location

The location was great close to everything. We really enjoyed our stay. The only issue was the Thermostat. During the first night it was fine but on our second till our last day the AC upstairs was broken. Cristina tried to control the thermostat remotely but it didn’t work. The temperature was on the 80’s that we have to open the Windows just to cool down the room. But all in all it was a great stay.

Stayed here with a few close friends and had a wonderful experience. The location is just down the road from Heavenly's California entrance and it looks like there are some shuttle options nearby. We especially enjoyed the little readying nook area and had coffee there daily. You can almost think of the downstairs rooms as U-shaped, with friends on the far end of the U having to walk through the two bunk bed rooms to get to the stairs. Not a deterrent, just something to note. We will definitely earmark this place in hopes to return again!

Awesome! Family of 12 had plenty of space and beds for everyone. Outdoor space in back was large enough for snow play and even set up a sledding and snowball play area allowing for kids to play and preventing parents to pay for snow park fees. Communication with property owner was great. Christina answered questions quickly to assist with planning family trip. Suggestions: need more towels, silverware, and toilet paper. Overall: I will keep on favorite rental spots for future family trips in Tahoe! Thanks Christina and Family for this experience!

We decided in May 2020 to make the trip to Tahoe even in the COVID world. My sister lives in Cal. and we live in Va. The owners were very responsive to questions and very understanding. The week before the trip we checked with the owners about the COVID restrictions and received the check in information. We arrived to a clean house with lots of room for all. The owners left nice instructions and reminders about the property. We had a few questions during the week, and the owners were available to assist. The location is amazing. It is literally down the street from the Heavenly California slopes. It is a short drive to downtown shopping, Heavenly Gondola, and casinos. We also skied at Kirkwood which was about 40 min away. We would definitely consider this property in the future.

The property was very spacious and accommodating for all of us. The kitchen was great we enjoyed cooking on the Viking stove top although one of the burners didn't seem to work properly. We especially loved the heated tiles in the bathrooms! The pool table and foosball table kept the kids and adults entertained for hours Things to know: The floors were very dirty. Our socks were black on the bottom in just one evening. The water heater seemed to go on and off while in the shower so the water was hot and cold continuously through the shower. Even though everyone took a shower at a different time. The listing is also deceiving regarding the parking situation. I have an email prior to renting this property that stated that we could park on the street if there was no snow on the ground and the listing indicates that two cars would fit on the driveway. Upon arrival there was no snow on the ground and notices throughout the property that stated we could not park on the street and all vehicles had to be parked on pavement. When contacting Christina, she told me we could not park on the street. Not sure what changed but I guess luckily we only had three vehicles but it was VERY tight squeeze having to park two trucks on the driveway. So beware that parking two trucks on the driveway is going to be very tight and require two careful drivers to make the cars fit. We had to put all the dishes away prior to departure or a fee was going to be implemented. Between the dirty floors and having to put all the dishes away and throw the trash out, I'm not sure why we paid a cleaning fee

Because of COVID our goal was to do all our own cooking, so we brought a bunch of pots and pans because with a vacation rental, it's hard to know what you'll find. We were very pleasantly surprised by how extremely well appointed the kitchen was. Plenty of really good cookware, and an amazing range.The sound system was very good and easy to use. The bar set up in the corner was a really nice touch. And the pool table is in excellent condition and was a really nice to play on. The gas fireplace made the main room super toasty in a matter of a few minutes and the central heating upstairs and down kept all the bedrooms comfy even on cold nights.The only downside for us, because there were 9 of us cooking 3 times a day, for 10 days, we generated more trash then we could fit in the bear box trash containers. But for most groups this would not be a problem.We would totally come back, we would just pay more attention to when trash pickup day was so we made sure we made the most of it.

A Must Stay

A Must Stay

We have done a lot of cabin renting in Lake Tahoe and it doesn't get much better than this mountain home. You are less than a mile to the Heavenly Village, casinos and the lake. The property was clean, full of supplies and very spacious. The main room was an open area big enough to host your entire party. Equipped with a nice TV, surround sound, pool table and a bar area. Two master bedrooms off the main room were spacious and clean. Downstairs has four additional bedrooms and a bathroom. Rooms were all clean and good size. The property has decks and patios throughout and a nice view front/back of gigantic trees. Communication with the home owner was easy and she was very helpful as well. We look forward to renting this place again sometime soon!
