MoonShadow – A Peaceful Gulf-Front Escape on Florida’s Forgotten Coast.
Alligator Point is a special kind of Florida — peaceful, uncrowded and refreshingly untouched. There are no towering condos or crowded tourist beaches here. Instead, you’ll find wildlife, birds, dolphins, gorgeous sunsets, star-filled skies and the wonderfully slower pace of Florida’s Forgotten Coast.
MoonShadow is a beautifully furnished, immaculately maintained and recently redecorated 3-bedroom, 2-bath Gulf-front beach home where families, friends — and their furry family members — can relax, reconnect and enjoy the natural beauty of Alligator Point.
Inside, you’ll find a fully equipped kitchen with all the pots, pans, dishes and tools you need to prepare everything from a quick breakfast to a wonderful seafood dinner. We provide plenty of bath towels, beach towels and even doggy towels for your four-legged guests.
Every bedroom and the living room feature large flat-screen TVs and our comfortable sunporch provides even more room to spread out on the two sofas, one of which opens up to a queen size comfy bed, and the oversized sofa offers a cozy spot for relaxing or an additional sleeping space.
But at MoonShadow, much of the magic happens outside.
Our spacious upper and lower decks offer plenty of places to sit back and enjoy the Gulf breeze. On the upper deck, gather around the fire table in the evening with a glass of wine and watch the stars come out. The lower deck features a gas BBQ grill, outdoor dining table, comfortable sofa and lounge chairs, along with an outdoor shower and fish-cleaning sink — perfect after a day at the beach or out on the water.
And the beach? It’s just steps away.
Walk down our private walkway and you’re on the beautiful white-sand shoreline of Alligator Point. Swim, sunbathe, search for shells or take a long walk along a beach that you may very well have almost entirely to yourself. Keep an eye on the water — our local dolphins are frequent visitors and have been known to swim alongside you as you stroll down the shore.
Catch your own dinner and grill it on the bbq on the lower deck, dine and relax on the couches or head out and enjoy fresh local seafood at one of the area’s casual coastal restaurants.
Stay for a week. Stay for two.
Forget about the schedules and the everyday worries for a while. Rekindle the romance, reconnect with the kids, laugh with friends, take long walks with the dogs and end your evenings listening to the Gulf beneath a sky full of stars.

Best VRBO we’ve ever booked. And that’s saying something because we’ve stayed in a lot of VRBOs over the years, including two others in Alligator Point, which we absolutely love for the peace and quiet. This home was hands-down the best.Everything from the communication to check-in was smooth and easy. The home was spotless and so thoughtfully put together with the nicest little touches throughout. The kitchen was incredibly well-stocked. Honestly, if they didn’t have a kitchen tool, you probably didn’t need it.One thing I especially appreciated was how easy it was to get in and out of the house. If you’ve ever dealt with complicated locks or awkward entry systems at rentals, you know exactly what I mean. This setup was simple and stress-free.We brought our Labrador with us, and I loved not having to constantly worry about him getting off the property. And the rugs on the boardwalk? Absolutely priceless. No hot feet, no splinters, and no hot paws either.Thank you for sharing such a wonderful home. We truly enjoyed every minute of our stay.

We had a nice relaxing stay at this beautiful house. So quiet and so charming. We stayed a week....but i would love to stay a whole month.I have absolutely no complaints.

The location and the beach were private and I liked the layout of the house. Hurricane Sally was not very pleasant,but we did have one nice beach day on Friday !
