About this lodge

Experience the grandeur of the Railroad Era when you step inside and see the quality workmanship and restoration. Beautiful mahogany woodwork and turn of the century craftsmanship grace the interior. This is the ideal setting for family gatherings, special events, retreats or just to 'escape' from the mundane. Contains a master bedroom, two full size murphy beds in the family room, and an additional sleeping loft above the sauna. Sleeps 15, has 3 bathrooms, 2 showers, kitchen and seating for 24, we can get extra table if needed.

A very unique opportunity for us to stay. It was right on the Iron Ore Heritage Trail that was a big plus for me as a biker. The city was close to everywhere I wanted to go. Kitchen was great but what I enjoyed was sitting at the barstools reading news with my morning coffee looking out to the trail. Very clean and host was extremely responsive.

Great place to stay. The building is beautiful inside with a nice kitchen and sitting areas to chat with friends after the ride. It also has a large patio area with festoon lights to relax and enjoy cocktails.

Honestly, I'm a little hesitant to write this review because I don't want the property to get too popular and not be available to us in the future. We love this place. The location is fantastic and the accommodations are fantastic. You can tell a huge amount of thought and planning went into modifying the depot. The changes that were made really make this a wonderful place to stay.
