Watch the sunset from your beautiful beach house overlooking Lake Michigan. Located on Lake Shore Drive in quiet Michiana; ideal for long walks on the beach, biking for miles or playing in the surf.

Michiana is part of Michigan's Harbor Country. Drive north on the Red Arrow Highway and discover wineries, craft breweries and fabulous antique stores and art galleries.
The house is a short drive from New Buffalo, which has a marina with boat rentals available. The Four Winds Casino is in New Buffalo; the Blue Chip Casino is in nearby Michigan City Indiana. Michigan City also has an outlet mall.

House is spacious and comfortable, with four bedrooms (one king, two queen and two twin beds), two new bathrooms, large dining room, and huge screened in porch with large screen SMART TV. Second SMRT TV in living room with DVD player. Central air and ceiling fans. All linens, towels, beach chairs, beach umbrella and beach towels provided. Fully equipped kitchen. Washer/dryer in basement. Hi speed wifi. We keep a kayak and a paddle board on the beach for your use. We have 4 bikes and beach toys for your enjoyment. Dogs are welcome - they are allowed on the beach before 11 am and after 5 pm.
Please note: the house is not available to rent between November 1 and April 15.
In July and August weekly rental minimum.

We had a wonderful stay at this Lake Michigan home! The location is perfect, with a beautiful front porch that looks right out at the lake—it quickly became our favorite spot for morning coffee and evening sunsets. The house itself is spacious and very comfortable, with four nicely sized bedrooms that easily accommodated our family.One of the highlights was the huge screened-in back porch, which was perfect for family games, hanging out, and enjoying summer nights. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed for cooking meals, and it made our stay so convenient.The owners also thought of all the little extras that make a beach vacation easier—there were plenty of beach chairs, towels, and toys, so we didn’t have to worry about packing those things.Overall, it was the ideal spot for a relaxing family getaway. We would absolutely come back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful Lake Michigan retreat.

Nothing can beat the location...short walk to the beach, stunning sunsets...so peaceful to look out onto Lake Michigan. New Buffalo and the surrounding towns have so much to offer. Owner and house manager were so easy to communicate with. House was well stocked (dishes, cooking utensils, serving bowls, towels, beach chairs, etc). We loved the three season room. The house was very clean, but could use a little TLC as it is an older home on a large body of water...at times a bit mildew smelling. We had no issue with climbing the stairs to the house, but someone with limitations may have difficulty. I would definitely rent this home again!

This is an amazing location and a home that supported our whole family and pets. Our dogs loved their morning walks on the beach and the kids loved the location, waking up and going to bed with a lake view each day!

This property is phenomenal!!! It’s everything you need in a lake house. It’s not fancy but that’s OK. It’s the perfect getaway with your family to enjoy each other and the beautiful surroundings. Everything was supplied. We needed nothing except groceries. Every single one of us in our family had so much fun! The convenience to the beach, the large deck out front, the abundance of beach chairs and towels, made this trip so easy and fun! There are also bicycles and a kayak. We didn’t use them, but it’s sure nice to know they’re available if you ever do need them. The sunsets were easily seen from the deck each evening. It was spectacular to say the least.

The *Waterfront Beach House" did not disappoint! It is absolutely adorable with an eclectic beachy vibe which is right up our alley. The lakefront view was incredible and the sound of the waves crashing mesmerizing. Anne had everything that we could possibly need right there. Plenty of towels, blankets kitchen supplies, etc. The cleanliness was top notch. We needed to reach out to Megan the house manager once and she was wonderfully responsive. The neighborhood is gorgeous. We look forward to staying there again the next time we head up to Michigan! Thanks Anne :0)

Nice quiet neighborhood with a beautiful view of Lake Michigan and walking distance to the beach. The property provided plenty of space for 8 adults. A variety of beach equipment and toys were available for our use to take to the beach. Anne was easy to reach and the check-in/out was very easy. We hope to come back again!

Gorgeous unimpeded view of the lake from the front porch where we spent every morning & afternoon listening to the waves, watching sunsets & even had the opportunity to catch a storm come across the lake. Located near two beaches just short of a 10 min walk in either direction. Easily housed my family of 5 & our pup. Plenty of restaurants, breweries and other amenities just 15 mins away in Michigan City, IN or New Buffalo, MI. The 3 seasons room is a great hangout space on the property if the weather is bearable. We lucked out with a couple of breezy cool weather days that made the space perfect. Plenty of parking, although you do have to use stairs to reach the property. My family did not have an issue with this, but may be an issue for others. Check in/out was effortless & Anne was super responsive through the app.

Cute house. My family of five (all adults) enjoyed our stay in this house. The front patio facing Lake Michigan was our favorite place to be. We watched the sun set each night. We just wish the very large family room in the back had air conditioning. It was too hot to watch movies and get comfy. We only used the living room and those chairs aren't as comfy. But we still loved the house.

Lovely owners and very communicative. House was comfortable and great location- only a few minutes from beach. There’s lots of board games, chairs, towels, kitchen items, a kayak, paddleboard, a wagon- great to know so you don’t have to pack a lot. Notes if you’re looking to book this place: take toilet paper. Stove gets very hot under where cookie sheets are kept- so wear an oven mit if grabbing a sheet after already warmed up.

We were on a girls weekend, and the house was perfectly located, the view was gorgeous and it had everything we needed, plenty of paper products, lots of backup products, books and games, chairs for beach and wagon. We were provided lots of information for local restaurants and things to do. We had an awesome time, and would love to go back! The only suggestion would be to have a little clarification in the description of the parking situation. It was perfectly fine, but a tiny but confusing the first night. Overall, we loved our weekend and made lots awesome memories! Thanks Anne!

Best part about the trip- watching the sunset on the lake sitting on the porch and the Short walk to the beach. The WiFi was spotty but host was responsive to improving it. overall a great place to stay! We have come here two years in a row with four kids and four adults. We enjoyed this house and never felt crowded.

My family and I had a great 5 day stay at this very cute house. The host, Anne, was friendly, easy to contact and accommodating and provided us with clear and easy check-in and check-out instructions. The house is on a bluff and has a nice view of Lake Michigan as well as the gorgeous Michigan sunsets. Being able to hear the waves at night was lovely! The house itself was clean and nicely decorated and we had plenty of space. The kitchen was well stocked with anything we needed for meal prep. I would love to stay here again.

My family, our dog, and our friends stayed here for a short 3 night labor day weekend getaway - a little end of summer hurrah. The house met our needs perfectly. The house was clean and well taken care of. It is a very old home, and quirky like any old home. It has a very odd layout which was unexpected and hard to tell from the pictures. It didn't matter to us, but just something to note. The enclosed back porch was very nice for sitting in the evenings, but it was a hot weekend so it did get quite warm out there during the day. A note for dog owners, the backyard is not fenced on all sides. Also, the yard is shared with the property next door. Again, it was fine for us but something renters should know. There are 27 stairs from the street to the front door, so unloading/reloading your car on move in and departure day involves a lot of stairs. The beach access is a 5 minute walk either direction, but the access to the north at the dead end of the street is easier to access to beach, and has less steps down to the sand. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would stay again because the location is fantastic.

We had a wonderful stay at this home right along Lakeshore Drive in Michiana. The views are spectacular and the house has an amazing screen porch where we enjoyed meals and game night. The beds are comfortable and the owners provide plenty of extra linens . The dining room features a nice long table with benches to encourage meals together with lots of sharing. We appreciate you sharing your spacious home with us!

We had a fabulous family vacation here. Located between two beach areas, each is less than a 10 minute walk. The view of Lake Michigan from the front of the home is majestic- we loved opening the windows and listening to the waves. Staying here felt like being at home, and Anne is a welcoming host. My family and I stayed for a week here at Casa Roja and it was amazing! The kitchen had everything you could ever need and the location was INCREDIBLE. Other reviews negatively portrayed the number of steps and distance from the beach. There are 20 total steps and my mother in law, a senior with a heart condition, was able to navigate with no issues. The walk to the beaches (yes, plural) is at most, 5 minutes. The house is also pet friendly, so our dog was able to enjoy the lake as much as we did. We had access to bikes, a Lilly pad, kayaks, tubes and a wagon to carry it all. The only downside is that the house is booked for the week we wanted to go in 2024! Amazing house, amazing location.

We were fortunate to book this lovely house on Lake Michigan for a few days at the end of June. The photos provided accurately reflect the interior of the home. The property is very close to a nice beach where we took walks and lounged and enjoyed the water. The house has a big deck overlooking the lake, which we really enjoyed. The home also features a huge enclosed wrap-around sunroom where we ate some of our meals and relaxed in the oversized, comfortable furniture. The only note we have for owners is the bathroom vent fans and some floors could use a thorough cleaning. We plan to be back soon to enjoy this beautiful house. The photos made it sound like it was waterfront property, but there was a street between the house and water.There were 25 steps up to the house, the photo made it look like about 5 or 6. The screened porch was big, but very dark paneling & floors, and all the windows faced the back of the house, not the lake. The bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen &, front living room were like a maze and not laid out well as far as bathrooms/bedrooms. It did have a well stocked kitchen & dining room, nice towels, etc., but I could not find one washcloth. Also, because the waves washed out the nearby steps to the beach, we had to walk 1/2 mile to the next set of steps with all if our beach gear . Being seniors, all in all we were disappointed in the house for the price we paid.

No complaints about this place at all, except maybe that the sunsets should last a little longer and we wanted a few more hours in the day to enjoy it. Life may move a little fast on the chicago side of the lake but over here it moves at just the right speed. The lake house has what you need, including plenty of rooms, tables for puzzles and space for naps. We cooked every night (great stove and grill), played loads of games and went for lots of walks. You honestly can’t go wrong.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Anne's place. The kitchen is stocked with most things you would need. Lots of glassware and utensils. We only cooked breakfast but if we stayed longer, I would have loved to cook more. Lots of good pans to use. The home is spacious enough for our group and pups. Plenty of games to play. Nice books and 2 tvs so no overcrowding. We look for to returning to Anne's place. We enjoyed the location and the sunset on the water.

Anne was lovely, having everything open and ready for us, leaving a bottle of wine, and even coming over one time we stupidly locked ourselves out! The property was clean, comfortable, well-appointed, and perfect for our group to both gather and have private space. The views of the lake and the proximity to the beach for walks and admiring the sunset was fantastic. We cooked a lot, but the proximity to necessities (like groceries and Oink's Ice Cream, which is a necessity) was fantastic. We were very impressed and happy and would definitely rent again if we return to the area!

Other than having to access the property from some stairs, the house was spacious and accessible. The screened back room made separation of work, TV time and sleeping easy. The view of Lake Michigan was outstanding. A beach was nearby and easy to access. Overall, the experience was good. We were close to one daughter's home that made her visits, with granddaughters lots of fun. Essentially all the necessary material was provided by the host.

We wanted to be walking distance to the beach and this is it. Lovely, quiet neighborhood. House is just a block from the beach. Check in and check out was easy. Sunroom was usable on all but one day because of the heat.
