The place is beautiful, the gardens are incredible and the buildings have so much charm and character. The furniture in the rooms fits perfectly with the surroundings and you really feel like you're in a castle. The pool was perfect in the heat and we noticed that there were a lot of toys for kids which seemed much appreciated by the children who were staying there. Plenty of seats around the pool meant that we were always comfortable. The breakfast was lovely, very simple and light but served outside in the sun it felt luxurious. The owners were lovely and helpful and I do not understand the bad reviews because the price was very attractive. The same price as a soul less chain hotel where you'd have no access to a pool or such a beautiful setting.
The cleanliness of this place wasn't really to my standards. The beds were clean and the sheets and towels fresh but we had the impression that the rooms aren't cleaned very thoroughly otherwise, there was a little bit of rubbish on the floor in the room when we arrived. The communal spaces were actually quite dirty, we didn't want to use the kitchen which was a shame because having a kitchen is a great idea. Same for the communal bathroom, which was less of an issue because we just used our room.

Near to Paris.
The checking time is to 24 h, but the owner eas upset, when we got there after 23 h.
The room wasn't preheated, so it was 14C.
Int the morning wasn't there anybody, we didn't have information about the breakfast.
At the end I found an ukrainien woman, who made the breakfast for us.
There are lots of fly on the room..

Best fun to stay in a castle tower. If you like Best Western or other boring places then go there.

Very unique and charming place.
Nice pool area.
Good price.
Unconfortable bed.
Common areas would benefit from some proper cleaning. Room was ok though.

Was a little apprehensive about what this would be like given the very low cost for a family room for 4 people. And I was also travelling alone with my three children so really wanted a nice, clean, comfortable place. La demeure de la Juine was all this and way more. The kids had an amazing time in the pool which was extremely clean and in just the most amazing location surrounded by beautiful tall trees. Other guests were friendly and relaxed. Unfortunately we’d had a Burger King shortly before arriving as I wasn’t sure what restaurants would be nearby but next time (and there will definitely be a next time!) we’ll bring something simply to cook in the little kitchen which is available to guests (and in its own tower!!)

Please ignore negative reviews
Absolutely magical place with enchanted forest at the end of it. So quirky and full of character
Just as per pictures on the listing- Ukrainian lady greeted us and yes her language skills limited but enough to show us our room and explain breakfast etc
We had 2 dogs with us which were able to enjoy the ground off the lead and what a luxury was that for them (and us )
Breakfast - please remember it's included in the price which isn't much so appreciate what you are given - we have travelled a lot this summer and the fact that we got coffee and tea and jam and brioche meant we didn't have to stop in services or shop. And added amazing background of the stunning views - what else can you ask for.
Room was a very comfy for for 4 of us , bathroom super clean and all was just so full of French character - we had a magical time and hoping to comeback soon.
All was perfect

We liked the location of the property and the look on the photos. It was as per photos.
The room had cobwebs over some of the furniture so could tell it hadn’t been cleaned recently.

We got to sleep in the tower, that was very cool.
My 8 year old son left his grey rabbit in the room (which he has slept with every night since he was born) I have called and messaged them several times and has no response.

If you want an unique experience of sleeping in a castle tower and take some pictures this is a great place, for the rest better look for something more comfortable and quality.
The place missed "passion" and therefore everything was rather mediocre.
Breakfast was rather poor, the person attending us did not speak English nor French so everything was rather vague.

The grounds and buildings were pretty
Breakfast was poor and there were no facilities to get a drink. The pool was lovely but dirty and generally it just needed a bit of tidying up. We really weren’t sure about the set up as the staff seemed to live on site but couldn’t speak either English or French so communication was very difficult in fact we gave up. However we did work out the family were Ukrainian so it was lovely that they had been given this safe haven. This was a lovely place but just needed a little bit of work and a better set up.

The location was perfect for our overnight on the drive down to our vacation destination: just far enough south that we didn’t have to deal with Paris traffic the next morning. And while this hotel was largely a practical choice: an affordable overnight stop, it turned out to be a highlight of the trip! We were taken with the rambling grounds with a garden, chicken coop, old well, etc. And the nice lounge furniture around the pool made it feel quite luxe! If we had it to do over again we would have pushed through and arrived at the hotel earlier in the afternoon/evening so we could have enjoyed it for longer. As it was we got there later in the evening and took a refreshing dip in the pool before bedtime. I assumed they just had one room to rent out but it’s a compound with maybe 5 or so rooms for rent. The staff didn’t speak much English (and we don’t speak much French) but we were able to communicate and they were very accommodating. I think I made a mistake when reserving the room and didn’t let them know there were 4 of us so when we arrived the staff had to scramble to set up the room for 4 of us. They did so quickly and graciously. And the room was charming and very clean. The next morning we were up sooner than expected and when the hostess spotted us, she served us our breakfast even though it was earlier than we had requested. I had read in other reviews that the breakfast was pretty barebones so we supplemented it with hardboiled eggs I’d brought along and we enjoyed a perfectly adequate breakfast poolside! Every time we headed to our next destination on the trip our boys asked if we were returning to the castle—it was a clear favorite.

The heating worked and there was hot water.
The rooms were dirty, bed linen old and tired, plastic protector sheet on the bed was very uncomfortable, general lack of maintenance of the property. Breakfast was so basic that it wasn't worth getting up for.
