Walk through our doors to the stellar setting and unsurpassable view of Sunset House. This classic Caribbean house, lovingly restored by its new owners, spreads over Long Bay Hill just a short walk from Long Bay beach at the west end of Tortola.
Nestled in the lush hills above long Bay, Sunset House offers you a most unique and intimate vacation experience. Over the years the house has been host to English Royalty, famous sports figures, and well known theatre personalities; as well as weddings, family reunions and groups of friends.
Artfully designed, Sunset House will captivate you from the very first moment you step through the elegant gazebo styled entrance and into the open courtyard from which a spectacular vista of historic Long Bay and its mile-long beach beckon.
The house features five large airy bedrooms, each with bath in suite and a private balcony with spectacular views of Long Bay to Jost Van Dyke and the outer islands. Relax by the pool lulled by its waterfall or enjoy a water massage in the tranquility of the hot tub. Watch the sunset while having cocktails and hors d’oeuvres on the wraparound veranda, and savor dinner prepared for you by our staff in our new state of the art kitchen. You will enjoy the personalized services provided by the staff which is headed by Carmen who has been with the house for over twenty years.
Since we all know that the travel experience these days is exhausting we welcome you to sit back and relax while dinner is prepared and served to you by our staff. No shopping, cooking or cleaning required, and no stress allowed.

What a wonderful and truly relaxing time we spent on Tortola, in large part because Sunset House was our home while there! Caring and very accommodating morning housekeeping helpers, several delicious home cooked evening dinners (and no dishes!) plus very thoughtful and attentive oversight by Carmen our host, meant we had no household concerns. And our location was tops! Just a short walk to beautiful Long Bay Beach or a simple drive to several equally gorgeous beaches, and close to several spots for a sip or a snack by foot or by car. Sunset House too was full of delight - welcoming rooms all with private balconies, gorgeous views in every direction, a delightful pool and all the comforts of home. Our stay at Sunset House was quite a treat and is something we would definitely do again!

Sunset House was absolutely stunning. The interior, exterior, and ocean views were beautiful. We enjoyed our week there and our only complaint was that the time went by much too quickly. Carmen was an incredible host and the friendly staff in housekeeping kept the house in tip top shape. And went we weren’t exploring nearby beaches and islands, we were eating fantastic meals prepared and served by Cynthia and her food specialists. “WOW” is the only word to describe our stay!

We had a group of 10 adult friends. Everything about Sunset House was great. The staff treats you like you own the place. Meals are as good as anything on the island and more affordable (if that matters to you). Carmin the house manager is incredible to work with. Location is beautiful, but be advised, the hills on either side of the home are STEEP. If you are not athletic, you will struggle walking them to the beaches in either direction. Parking is convenient for ONE car on upper level and a 2nd (if you have it) at the bottom of some stairs. Rooms are very comfortable with GREAT air conditioning. This home is not the place for people with mobility issues, but, beautiful. It is by far the most "stocked" rental we have ever stayed with EVERYTHING you can want... dishes, cooking utensils, beach chairs, snorkel gear, beach towels, and endless supply of ice and bottled water dispenser. Several good restaurants within a 5 minute drive as long as you can drive on the LEFT and can handle narrow steep roads. ENJOY !!!

We stayed at the Sunset House to celebrate my husband’s 60th birthday. It was 2 families with 5 teenagers. We had a fantastic time. The house is beautiful, the location is perfect and the staff is amazing! Absolutely loved it! We also rented a boat for a few days for day charters. Super special time. Hope to do it again soon. Thank you so much!!
